*    A final note today: Tony Dastra, if you are running for mayor as you have stated twice now before city council, we need a website or a Facebook page for your candidacy! Seriously!

DON’T FEEL BAD
FOR TOM MURSE!

Tomorrow morning I will discuss Scott Martin possibly running for governor (lol!). Don’t feel sorry for LNP Executive Editor Tom Murse. Yes, he’s going to have a lot to discuss with his media friends about why he never told the public about Martin’s two (secret) divorces and then marrying the county treasurer! Oh, my!
Tomorrow afternoon and all day Friday I will only post about the missing $150,000 from the DA’s Drug Task Force. It’s been over a year and the public needs answers! Thank you for your patience.
Regarding yesterday’s city council meeting, I want to transcribe what Tene Darby (pictured left) told city council and the mayor at their June 1st committee meeting and what council person Amada Bakay said about her. It was the subject of several public comments last night. And I also want to transcribe Sharon Allen Spann’s shocking report last night about minority hiring for the police and fire departments for many years.
Oh, and then there’s Patrick Hopkins…

OVER A WEEK OLD NEWS!

This article went up on Lancaster Online several hours ago. This is coverage of June 1st’s city council committee meeting. This is a disgrace. Resign, LNP Executive Editor Tom Murse!

*** BREAKING NEWS ***

SENORITY POINTS TABLED (AGAIN!)

By a vote of 4 – 3 last night, city council tabled the removal of seniority points for promotions of the police and fire until the August 10th meeting. The vote was as follows:
For the table:
—  Jaime Arroyo
—  Amanda Bakay
—  Janet Diaz
—  Ismail Smith-Wade-El
Against the table:
—  Faith Craig
—  Xavier Garcia-Molina
—  Pete Soto

There will be all kinds of news coming later – Tony Dastra has a brother – Joey! Who knew? And Dastra is running for mayor.
Jaime Arroyo (pictured left) shone last night, as did Janet Diaz and Xavier Garcia-Molina. Amanda Bakay got some well deserved flack over comments she made at last week’s committee meeting.
Terrible, awful, shocking hiring results for minorities over the years for both the fire and the police were reported last night. Unbelievable – except this site has reported on the police failing to hire any black citizens.
Jess King filled in for Mayor Sorace who she stated was attending the McCaskey graduation. Fifteen years, Patrick Hopkins? That is far too long for a liar like you.
     And so much more…

Thank you for your work, i be screaming this shit and no one hears. but you’re on the ball with it, much respect

Why are these council meetings still on zoom? It’s much easier for them to deflect and ignore the public over the phone.

    • Becky says:

At the beginning of Tuesday’s meeting, Smith-Wade-El said there would be an announcement soon about the meetings going back to in-person.

After watching most of the council meeting, and seeing Hopkins and king continuously trip over explaining whether this seniority change was to either directly help minority promotion or make sure the best test takers are promoted, I am more convinced this is a self serving change for sorace to promote sorace loyalists.

It’s also ironic watching self described leftists push to strip existing employee employment protections in favor of straight Koch bros style arguments you would see promoted on reason.com

Agree. As if the leftist don’t act like they’re pro union but these leftist don’t even do whatthe union says. Extreme left Socialism I guess?

Scott Martin, twice divorced and thrice married? But he’s such the darling of the Susquehanna Valley family values sect.

  5. Frustrating says:

We need answers now about the “missing” $150,000. Why can’t anyone answer this basic question that if the DA was so certain that money was stolen, why has it taken so long for anything to be done about it? Reputations are being ruined and we lost good people on the drug task force over these allegations. AG Shapiro is gunning to take down anyone to bolster his Governor dreams. So why would Shapiro not charge “dirty cops” after almost a damn year if any of this were true?

It’s also long past due to investigate police corruption in Lancaster County. The Notel Motel’s out on Lincoln Hwy are hot spots for prostitution. State police and East Lampeter Police are within a half mile radius. No arrests?

    * Edited to make it a hyperlink. I found what you were going for on page 12. Your point is?

    Bankruptcy Court

She’s a broke bum who gets recognized because of her token traits. If one can’t manage ones own finances how can one be in charge of anything leadership?

Just wanted to say, I’m a newer reader to this site (always looking for an alternative to that disaster of LNP). You do amazing work! Even though I might see things from the other side of the aisle, we have similar interests in transparency and finding the truth.

I created East Pete Watchdog just for this very reason. We’re not happy with Parsons lately. One of our borough precincts did not have in-person votes counted in a timely manner along w/ several issues with the machine at the precinct. I’ve had to file a RTK since phone calls to Christa Miller’s office go unanswered. Parsons likes to pat himself on the back with a lot of bulls**t on Facebook, so I tend to try to get at him there. Of course, he won’t answer, he’s too spineless and only cares about all 5 feet 2 inches of himself.

So, keep up the great work! I love your site!

Sounds like this is a council meeting worth watching.

    Becky
So Izzy was…………..sober and early ?

    Earl

    • Becky says:

He was on time. I can’t speak to his sobriety! 🙂

      • Callmejaded says:

Will someone please tell Izzy how unprofessional he appears when either eating or chewing gum (can’t decide which it is) during a zoom meeting.
