GOOD NEWS!

A little change of pace this afternoon. Go to Dustin’s Facebook page and check out his short video and sign up your kids. This is a good, good guy!

**   The person who sent in a comment about Reddit comments sent me the below (thank you!). Just a quick note: I did not include another comment about council president Ismail Smith-Wade-El’s mother Rita. Several separate comments have come into this site about her and have not been posted. She is deceased and this is about her son. Period.
As a point of interest I will add one thing: It was brought to my attention multiple times that even though they named a school after her she did not send Ismail to Lancaster public schools.

FURTHER EXPLANATION

*    The above is from the city’s website. City council committee meetings are usually held on the first Monday of the month. July 4th is on Sunday, so the city will be closed on Monday the 5th to observe the holiday and the city council committee meeting will be held on Tuesday the 6th beginning at 6:00 pm.

BAD THINGS

The below is incorrect! It is from page A-7 of today’s LNP print and “e-edition” under the headline “Government Calendar.” City Council will meet on Tuesday, July 6th not on the 1st! What is wrong with these people?
And I’m tired of LNP’s Monday “Good Things” editorials. There are lots and lots of good things everyday as the pandemic ends. But speaking of city council, LNP still has not reported on their first in-person meeting in over a year on June 22nd and the fireworks that ensued. What a disgrace and it makes their claim that they are a “watchdog” beyond ridiculous and absurd.
Please check back later today.

  1. Earl says:

Well that certainly explains Izzy’s Holier Then Thou attitude. Just try to imagine the self righteous environment of his home while growing up.

  2. Yes we can! says:

Council Prez Izzy is doing what we on the hard left love, he’s an activist first and foremost – his political position is a conduit for his activism.
Political activists like Izzy are usually not popular amongst the oppressors because it’s about changing the agenda so our marginalized brothers and sisters have a fighting chance. This country was built on the back of black and brown slaves and now the playing field is leveling off at a snails pace – those in power to oppress feel their tight grip slipping away. I cannot wait to see our beautiful City in the next twenty years as we move towards a more equitable society under the guidance of OUR leaders like Izzy. Don’t fear, change is needed and welcomed!

  3. I have two images for you from Reddit about what they think of council and president. How can I get them to you?
