TWO RALLIES TOMORROW!
The opening sentence/paragraph to today’s LNP story, “Lancaster City Council rejects condo plan for historic tobacco warehouse,” (click here).
Oh, LNP correspondent Rebecca Logan, it was not a committee meeting; it was a regular city council meeting. There is a difference. Committee meetings are held on the first Monday of the month. Council meetings are held on the second and fourth Tuesdays of a month.
One of the biggest differences between the two is that there is no voting aye or nay at committee meetings. Items are only discussed and in most cases moved to council meetings for a vote.
Discussed at the May 5th committee meeting and voted on at Tuesday’s council meeting unanimously to pass were:
— Council Resolution No. 25-2021, supporting fair public school funding in Pennsylvania.
— Council Resolution No. 26-2021, condemning discrimination and violence against Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders (AAPI).
Both of those topics have rallies tomorrow as per the below:
— Rally for PA Public Schools, 10:00 am at 445 N. Reservoir Street (click here for the Facebook page for the event).
— Rally and vigil to support the AAPI Community, 6:00 pm at Penn Square (click here for the Facebook page for the event).
Notice Rowe was not charged with rape as there was no DNA match. So Mirack had sex with one guy that morning and was killed by another man? Not bloody likely.
Part of a comment that came in yesterday.
This is simply wrong. Totally and completely wrong. He pleaded guilty to murder and multiple rape charges. See a portion of his docket below.
I apologize for not correcting this immediately.
Please check back later today.
