On a lighter note – actually this is a very serious note and when you have to buy all new kitchen appliances and paint your entire kitchen – remember – you were warned.
Do not make beet ketchup. There is a shortage of single use ketchup packets! There is no shortage of ketchup! There is no reason to make beet ketchup. In fact, you have to be out of your mind to even think about attempting this.

WHERE WAS SMITH-WADE-EL?
Lancaster city council president Ismail Smith-Wade-El was absent from last night’s city council meeting. Vice-President Pete Soto said his and also councilwoman Janet Diaz’s absences were “excused” but didn’t say why they were absent.
There was a last minute addition to the agenda involving opening bank accounts with Fulton Bank. Patrick Hopkins claimed a huge savings by refinancing the bond for the construction of the two fire stations.
Sharon Allen Spann, a city employee, gave a lengthy report on the activities of the Lancaster City Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Initiative. She said 70% of the city employees are white, so according to the city demographics she presented (see above), the city has a long way to go.
Tony Dastra wants to be on the Traffic Commission or the Planning Commission and sent his resume to the council members.
The mayor had no report last night.
