Once again, former County Commissioner and author of the book “Pressed,” Molly Henderson, is running to fill a position on the School Board of Lancaster for two years. She is running unopposed. See the below (click here for the original on the county website) and the Office of Elections said a sample primary ballot should be available to the public by the end of this week.
*** Cherrelle Byrd’s bail has been revoked. The District Attorney’s Office requested it and according to her updated docket, Lancaster County Judge Dennis Reinaker revoked her bail.
** Someone, presumably the District Attorney’s Office, has requested a bail modification for Cherrelle Byrd who is charged with shooting and killing her ex-husband Richard Williams Friday night in Mountville (see below). As noted here yesterday, her bail was originally set at 10% of $75,000 which is very low for a homicide charge.
Her docket also now indicates that she has obtained the private legal counsel of Andrew Sullivan Cooper, Esquire.
MOLLY IS RUNNING!
* I am going to explain this as carefully as I can. The other day this site stated that former Lancaster County Commissioner Molly Henderson is running for the School Board of Lancaster. She is. Her name will be on the ballot.
Her name does not appear in any of today’s LNP articles on the primary election presumably because her candidacy is not contested. She is running as both a Democrat and a Republican for a two-year-term to replace a board member who resigned. She has no competition in the primary from either party and so her win is almost guaranteed.
According to the Office of Lancaster County Elections today, her category will be separate and apart from the five Democrats running for four-year-terms on the school board.
