4-12 UPDATE

WHO WILL INVESTIGATE?

Will Lancaster County District Attorney Heather Adams investigate Constable Michael Chance (pictured below), Attorney Nicholas Wachinski and the politicians involved in granting no-bid contracts or will she turn the investigation over to the state Attorney General’s office?
This comment in under this post:
How could Attorney Nick Wachinski be representing two groups competing for the same contract, Constable Assoc and Constable Chances private company.
1.7 Conflict of Interest: Current Clients
* Except as provided in paragraph (b), a lawyer shall not represent a client if the representation involves a concurrent conflict of interest. A concurrent conflict of interest exists if the representation of one client will be directly adverse to another client;
* Mandatory Withdrawal – A lawyer ordinarily must decline or withdraw from representation if the client demands that the lawyer engage in conduct that is illegal or violates the Rules of Professional Conduct or other law.

HOW RICH IS CHANCE?

Is Constable Michael Chance the highest paid elected official in Lancaster County? How much money is he raking in? I will be putting in Right-to-Know requests.
According to county records, he owns the building at 602 West King Street which was formerly the Blue Star Hotel and is now Rieker Bottle Works.
The business, Reiker Bottle Works, is owned by his business partner and possible romantic interest, Paula Saxinger (click here for the LNP article shown above right).

AND NO-BID CONTRACTS

This story broke on this site yesterday in the comments under ‘WHERE IS LNP?” below, And look, there’s attorney Nicholas Wachinsky again! He had over 20 warrants for his arrest (click here). Why didn’t the constables arrest him? Has he paid those parking tickets?
Please check back later today.

He even got a 20K+ PPP loan in January

  2. Heather Adams says:

    Becky,

To answer your question, Heather Adams is as useful as a wet paper bag. When will LNP tell the public the DA’s office doesn’t have enough ADA’s to properly prosecute criminals? Is LNP too afraid to hold a white woman to the fire?

More ADA’s have quit under Heather Adam’s’ tenure than have ever before her with any of her predecessors. She will do nothing but continue to wait for her directions to come from Josh Parsons. Heather is a sham and it is so icky that she’s the best the republicans could find. Heather kept Mark Fetterman the sexual harasser so that tells you about the caliber of her leadership.

Heather Adams stuck her nose in the judge race and endorsed the guy she has as her first assistant DA. Why would the DA even believe it to be ethical to endorse anyone for judge? The DA and judges are supposed to be separate.

Is Washinski teaching Constable Chance how to push cash? Looks like constable Chance may be using his boo to funnel money to the power players. Paula Saxinger gave $2,500 to Scott Martin, $2,500 to Tom Mehaffie House seat 106 in 2020, and $2500 to Jacob Corman. Is Chance expecting favors in return?

    • Oh, Becky. Who are these people? says:

None of the people you listed have anything to do with county money. Corman and Mehaffie wouldn’t be able to pick Chance or his alleged “boo” out of a lineup. I hate to tell you this but $2500 buys you about a 10 second wave from one of these guys. They each roll over a million dollars in campaign funds. And if the Chance fella is connected to Josh Parsons, any one with even limited local public knowledge knows that Scott Martin wouldn’t give him a buck for a vending machine soda. I can not even find anything that says this Paula gal is romantically connected with this Chance fella. I realize some people just write stuff to throw us all off from the real corruption and story but my goodness, let’s make our remarks believable. For a lousy $2500 dollars the most prominent republicans in the entire state would risk their careers to help Attorney Nick Wachinski and his band of wannabe thugs? Come on!

  4. Wachinski woes says:

  5. Parsons pandemic problems... says:

I think Commissioner Parsons may have BIG problems….squandering pandemic relief monies and giving no bid contracts to his political donors, with no public disclosures… I think he will need to step down… very soon.

    (c) Accepting improper influence.–No public official, public employee or nominee or candidate for public office shall solicit or accept anything of monetary value, including a gift, loan, political contribution, reward or promise of future employment, based on any understanding of that public official, public employee or nominee that the vote, official action or judgment of the public official or public employee or nominee or candidate for public office would be influenced thereby.

    (b) Seeking improper influence.–No person shall offer or give to a public official, public employee or nominee or candidate for public office or a member of his immediate family or a business with which he is associated, anything of monetary value, including a gift, loan, political contribution, reward or promise of future employment based on the offeror’s or donor’s understanding that the vote, official action or judgment of the public official or public employee or nominee or candidate for public office would be influenced thereby.

  6. Chance has problems. says:

    (f) Contract.–No public official or public employee or his spouse or child or any business in which the person or his spouse or child is associated shall enter into any contract valued at $500 or more with the governmental body with which the public official or public employee is associated or any subcontract valued at $500 or more with any person who has been awarded a contract with the governmental body with which the public official or public employee is associated, unless the contract has been awarded through an open and public process, including prior public notice and subsequent public disclosure of all proposals considered and contracts awarded. In such a case, the public official or public employee shall not have any supervisory or overall responsibility for the implementation or administration of the contract. Any contract or subcontract made in violation of this subsection shall be voidable by a court of competent jurisdiction if the suit is commenced within 90 days of the making of the contract or subcontract.

  7. Fraudnet says:

Here is the link to report what Constable Chance and Wachinski are doing.

Shawn Baker lives in Manor Township. NOT East Pete. He was busted in February. Why wasn’t this on Manor Township’s Crimewatch slander sheet – which Police Chief Todd Graeff “introduced” to the county and uses liberally to libel people? And what conflict of interest took it out of the local D.A.’s hands? This county gets more corrupt each and every day it stays in the same hands.

  9. Anonymous says:

What about a certain mayor’s husband?

  10. Anonymous says:

Maybe Chance’s business partner has money.

  11. Anonymous says:

I am trying to follow a couple of the parts of several of your stories. So Republican committee person Nick Wachinski donates money to the County commissioners campaign funds, then Nick Wachinski gets the no bid contracts for Constable Michael Chances company from the Lancaster County Commissioners where Chance is taking hundreds if not thousands of dollars a day of federal relief monies as his part “to help the constables ”. I think the FBI is going to have some fun with this one.

    • Anonymous says:

And you forgot they have more than just the Blue Star. Paula also manages the corner building after the Blue Star that sits on New Dorwart and some properties before the Blue Star on the same side. You can catch her during the day running from property to property with paperwork in her hands.

  12. Pay 2 Play says:

I Would never steer you wrong Becky!
    Told you this was dirty.
Tory Landis was trying to do the right thing for his Association and he got buffaloed by con artist constables and their dirty lawyer.
If Attorney Wachinski is the Constable association attorney but made back room deals that hurt the association to benefit only a few members, I feel some disciplinary board complaints need to be filed so this is properly investigated.
The state and feds need to investigate every company tied to Michael Chance and make certain his taxes and payroll taxes are on point. This is taxpayer money we are talking about.
Why didn’t LNP post a copy of the contract with their article?
Commissioner Ray D’agostino needs to resign in disgrace. He needs to take that Parsons’ fella with him.
What the heck is a no-bid public contract? And for almost a million dollars? Doesn’t pass the smell test.
This is 100% pay to play and anyone that defends this is an unethical disgrace.
And the reason why dirty Wachinski has gotten away with not paying parking tickets is due to those vested with serving warrants benefitting from his corruption. You scratch my back and I’ll scratch yours.
