COUNCIL MEETS TONIGHT
Lancaster city council meets virtually tonight beginning at 6:30 pm. The (long) agenda is below and you can watch the livestream of the meeting on the city’s YouTube channel (click here).
According to the agenda, interim Police Chief John Bey will give a “Police Bureau Progress Report.” What is that all about?
* Dauphin County District Judge David O’Leary is going to have a busy May 6th this year (he is pictured at left). Lancaster attorney Nick Wachinski, who this site reported had 18 warrants for his arrest out of O’Leary’s office last week, has pleaded not-guilty to the parking tickets and summary trials on the tickets are all scheduled for May 6th at 1:00 pm. It should be a very interesting day in court.
We will look at Wachinski’s tickets in Lancaster County shortly.
WHO NEEDS SCHOOLING?
According to the “Minor Judiciary Education Board” website, Lancaster attorney Nicholas Wachinsky (pictured below) is a Board Member (click here). Wachinsky had over 20 warrants for his arrest for unpaid parking tickets and he is now embroiled in a legal controversy because he is the solicitor for both the Lancaster Constables Association and the competing company Constable Peace Keeping Detail LLC (click here).
Should this man be involved with the education of District Judges?
There will be an update on the warrants and Right-to-Know requests coming later today.
