*   As I noted in the comments this morning, sports reporter John Walk did a very nice piece on Ethan Vaughn (click here). What he doesn’t tell you is that he came to LNP’s attention because Vaughn was recognized by city council at their March 9th meeting (see the agenda below).
Vaughn spoke at the meeting and he asked if any media covered the meetings. Council President Ismail Smith-Wade-El told him LNP covers the meetings. Oh, really?
And why, oh why, didn’t Smith-Wade-El tell Vaughn that LIP News covers city council meetings?

(Click here to watch the video of the February 23rd city council meeting pictured above)
At 22:44 into the above meeting, Patrick Hopkins interrupts council president Ismail Smith-Wade-El and says, “Ah, Mr. President, if I could jump in here and just provide the reminder that we need to have the disability pension motion reviewed and voted on.”
To which Smith-Wade-El responds, “Oh, I’m so sorry. I totally neglected to add that to the agenda.”
Then in less that four minutes time we learn that council held an executive session before the meeting to discuss the disability pension, it was added to the agenda and council voted on the motion with seven “ayes.”
And LNP has not said one word about this.  A police officer, Brittany Porreca, allegedly sustained a permanent and total disability while working and this resulted in a four minute public presentation and vote at council. And LNP has not said a word.
Please check back later today.

Becky here is what I was talking about on Manor St. Look how long it took just to make the paper! They are trying to hide or cover up something. I heard(Note: I didn’t witness anything) the guy was running from Police they chased him and he ran in a house the chased him all the way till he jumped out a 3rd story window.

Well, someone at LNP listens to city council meetings! Their top story online this morning about Ethan Vaughn is because council recognized him and gave him an honor. But that is missing from John Walk’s story. Hmmm…

I almost swear I remember reading something about her being injured in the stable. Anyone else having these thoughts ?

You’d think they’d honor an officer who was injured in the line of duty and recognize her sacrifice.

Yea I’m used to them advertising whenever an officer gets hurt. Gives them a good opportunity to remind everyone blue lives matter and all that.
