WHERE IS LNP?

The in-print headline on LNP’s editorial this morning.

LNP writing about “accountability” is a joke. The below excellent comment came in last night. Where is LNP, opinion editor Suzanne Cassidy? When are you going to tell the public the truth about MAW?

 ***

This is absolutely unbelievable. Why the hell the city is paying money to a company that they should be suing for their bungling of this whole fiasco. Instead they are GIVIBG them money to go away. Why? Because if the city took them to court, MAW would reveal all the corrupt and insider wheeling and dealing?

There are SO MANY credible fiber optic companies with certified track records they could have chosen.

Instead they go with a “company” that in the old politically incorrect days would have been reduced to a Polish joke.

Lancaster is lost.
-150,000 missing
-Millions and millions spent on NOTHING
-Cases like Erma Kaylor’s that could have been solved perhaps with that money
-CRIZ money dumped into the convention center instead of local businesses who ended up having to pay professionals to fill out the mandatory paperwork all the while knowing they wouldn’t get a dime
-A multi-million dollar “retirement community” high-rise to be built in the city that will cast permanent shadows on residential neighborhood homes.
-Banal retread airport art in Lancaster Square
-No public information on just what they plan to do with the soon to be former public library building
-Outright, on the record collusion with the LNP
-Rogue cops costing tens of thousands in suits brought by citizens – guaranteeing that the city’s insurance premiums will only go up.

Enough?

Just watched the meeting and it made me nauseous.

$5.7 million dollar paid for well under $3 million dollars in infrastructure.

    WHERE IS THE ACCOUNTABILITY ?!

Hopkins and the do nothing Mayor say “we had a bad partner” and “next time we anticipate proper planning and vetting” and lots of giggling and flowery language…sa if they had nothing to do with it. THEY MADE THESE DECISIONS ! THEY LOST MILLIONS ! AT WHAT POINT ARE PEOPLE HELD ACCOUNTABLE FOR THEIR NEGLIGENCE ?

I still need to watch this meeting, but I’ve been semi avoiding it because I know watching will churn my stomach too.

There needs to be a third party audit/investigation of this, but I don’t know how that would get kickstarted. It may need to be requested by city council.

Yep. FOLLOW THE MONEY!! FOLLOW IT. DIME BY DIME.

The contract for MAW was awarded when the owner’s brother was a high ranking city police officer, but no one wants to focus on that

I don’t know how there aren’t people at risk of going to jail for what happened here. This is really suppose to be just a big ooopsie?

Also remember that time that Eron Lloyd was a maw employee who had previously pleaded guilty for federal bribery charges for pay to play schemes in reading?

Extortion, the illegal taking of money by anyone who employs threats, or other illegal use of fear or coercion in order to obtain the money, and whose conduct falls short of the threat of personal safety per Barrons. MAW is clearly extorting Lancaster City and Lancaster City is going along with it!! Lancaster city money is OUR money via taxes, grants, fees etc. The citizens of Lancaster should unite and bring a class action law suit against the city. Where the hell is Lancaster city legal team and what the hell are they doing by condoning this illegal action by MAW against Lancaster? But no, Lancastrians will sit back and take another hit from our elected officials.
