**** This is a possible correction. I tried to call District Judge Edward Tobin’s office this afternoon but no one answered and apparently they are closed due to the weather. Jared Chrobot’s docket states his preliminary arraignment was yesterday and was held before District Judge Andrew T. LeFever. It was Sunday so LeFever may have been filling in for Tobin. If it was not Tobin, I apologize and I will try to establish absolutely who set Chrobot’s unsecured bail tomorrow.

…Jared Ray Chrobot, 26, was charged with a felony count of aggravated assault and a misdemeanor of simple assault after he hit a person “multiple times” with a metal baseball bat on Jan. 31 around 8:06 p.m. in the 600 block of Snyder Hill Road in Warwick Township, police said. …Chrobot was released on $100,000 unsecured bail, according to court documents.

Unbelievable! A white man in Lititz can hit a person multiple times with a baseball bat and send them to the hospital and still get unsecured bail! Amazing. It is so good to be white in Lancaster County!
Vote District Judge Edward Tobin, who set his bail, out of office! Oh, and below on the right is a profile “picture” from one of Chrobot’s Facebook pages! This man needs to be behind bars. If you see him, leave the area immediately!

** Oh, and the final entry on the agenda under “PERSONNEL COMMITTEE: Nomination of Ismail Smith-Wade-El for reappointment to the Public Art Advisory Board.” Three comments regarding this:
1. No one seems to know how many hyphens there are in his name!
2. He is actually a better council president than I predicted. He keeps the meetings moving and yet is very careful to give everyone their say.
3. Should he be on the Public Art Advisory Board? Remember this horrific artwork recommended by him and the Board for the proposed Christian Street garage? What ever happened with that? I will try to find out.

WILDLIFE KILLING CONTESTS?
* City council has a committee meeting tonight beginning at 6:00 pm and I assume the weather will have no impact because of Covid-19 these meetings are virtual and the council members are at home.
Please see their agenda below and the last category, “COMMITTEE OF THE WHOLE.” What wildlife killing contests are there in Lancaster? What in the world?
On a more serious note, please see the “FINANCE COMMITTEE” category – “addressing municipal fiber-optic network financing” is one of the topics. Is this LanCity connect? And why do they need to appoint “a special counsel for PUC matters?” How many law firms have they hired? How many millions have they spent on LanCity Connect?
Oh, and what do the Human Relations Commission Board members do? When is the last time you saw them in the news?
This should be an interesting meeting!

I can see being arraigned on a Sunday but the unsecured bail is wrong.

No. Barry, you’re not. There are many of us staunch groundhoggers that are sad this year.
There was that 3 or 4 million $ invoice that MAW was going after the city for sometime prior to the pandemic. The city was at least putting up a token legal fight at that time. Everything has been radio silence since from the city and LNP.
If that got paid the bill is WAY over $10 million so far.
All that money and zero to show for it.
