I cannot find Kevin Murph’s docket but I will continue to look for it. (He is pictured at left.) Good thing the cops got this guy off the streets, huh? A lesson from this arrest (click here for the original of the Manheim Township Police press release below):
— Do not sit in your car in a church parking lot while black!
I thought the courts ruled that the smell of marijuana was not enough for officers to search a car. And they found “small plastic baggies.” Were there drugs in those baggies or is it just illegal to own small plastic baggies while black? And how did they determine there was cocaine in the paper towel? What laboratory determined that? And marijuana roaches! In the car! In many states and the City of Lancaster that is either legal or a summary offense.
If this man can afford a good lawyer they should be able to get him off most of the charges. A bad lawyer and his life is ruined.
Is this really what we want the police doing?
WHAT IS BEING DONE?
