FLY EAGLES (& BIDEN)!

Apparently Fox is running the Eagles vs. the New York Giants game tonight instead of the debate (wow, they both have terrible records)! Are they afraid their man, the Trumpster, will mess up? It’s almost guaranteed! I will happily be clicking back and forth. Fly, Biden and the Eagles, fly!

A NEPHIN MOMENT!

I had a Nephin moment (LNP reporter Dan Nephin) and I would like to apologize to the emailer. Yesterday afternoon I was up against my self-imposed deadline of 4:00 pm and I used the word “concerned” twice in my initial writing – a “concerned citizen” and stating their email “concerned” a billboard.
I decided to google “concerned” and use the first synonym I found. It was “troubled” and I grabbed it! Sadly, troubled has another meaning and it escaped me at the time. The emailer is troubled about the billboard and is not “beset by problems or conflict” that I am aware of. I apologize.

WE WILL TELL YOU NOTHING!

The investigation is ongoing and no further information will be released to avoid jeopardizing the continuing nature of the investigation.
The last sentence in the Northern Lancaster County Regional Police Department’s September 10th press release on a vicious, life-threatening stabbing (click here).
What about jeopardizing the lives of others? What about the victim’s friends and neighbors? Have you ever heard of a police department refusing to release information that the public needs and has a right to know? Unbelievable! Is this another unsolved murder?
Please check back later today.

In the Munoz case, the public will never know what police were told by dispatch, whether police were given accurate info, etc. Were mistakes made that could be learned from? maybe. maybe not. Encryption protects police chiefs, and works against plaintiffs in any lawsuit. That’s the ONLY reason it was approved. I do not know one single, honest LE expert who supports it. it has NOTHING to do with alleged “public safety”.

too bad police radio is encrypted or they might have been able to protect and serve. no one can help if they dont know whats going on. this child is gone.

Writing lesson for webmaster: The first “concerned” (as in, citizen) was appropriate. The second “concern[ing]” should have been changed to “regarding”. As you noted, “troubled” was ambiguous. Always try to eschew obfuscation. Lol

I think it’s time to change their “policies” and “training standards” to something more compatible with responding to mental health calls. Too bad Munoz wasn’t mentally I’ll in Atlantic City. He would be alive.

Maybe if he had been welding a carving knife and charging a police officer he’d be alive and able to stand trial for the four people he stabbed last year.
