LNP: WE HAVE TO
CRITICIZE YOU JUDGE
BUT WE DON’T MEAN IT!

I remember this well. It is one of the only times the Lancaster Newspapers have questioned a judge. And actually, then New Era editor Ernie Schreiber had little choice because people were outraged and the case had drawn state wide attention.
But on the same day he ran the editorial, Schreiber also ran a front page article about Judge Rienaker forming a task force and they even had a video with Reinaker talking about it – click here for the LNP story from February of 2011, “Judge forms task force to address sex abuse in Plain community.”
The original of the below is here and the comment that appears below in this post is under this story:

TASK FORCE REDUX

Again? Click here for today’s LNP story. I remember the first “task force” – in fact, this comment came in about it:

WHERE’S THE INTERNET, MAW?

The below Right-to-Know request was emailed to the City of Lancaster this afternoon. The Right-to-Know information on the city’s website is out of date and missing information and forms. They need to address these issues.

    Don’t forget this one!

    https://lancasteronline.com/news/local/city-asks-judge-to-say-whether-lancity-connect-firm-maw-committed-misconduct/article_1adfd08a-768a-11e9-8106-7bd63a284f65.html

There was never a report regarding this invoice and its related dispute. MAW was holding the city responsible for all its expenses related to the lawsuit. This is a lot bigger than $1500 a month to “pay back” the original $5 million!
