ANOTHER DEATH IN THE PRISON

William Kauffman, 56,  was scheduled to have a Probation/Parole Violation Hearing the morning he was found dead in the Lancaster County Prison. He was in jail on a “technical parole violation” and was scheduled to have a video/telephone hearing with Judge Dennis Reinaker at 9:00 am on Tuesday, July 28th.
On that morning, he was found unresponsive in his cell at 8:32 am and died later that day. Was this man given the medical care he needed? Did the heat contribute to his death?
There is a petition on Change.org to the county commissioners to improve the conditions at the Lancaster County Prison in light of his death (see below and click here for the petition). Also below is a Facebook post by a friend of Kauffman.
There will be more on this to come…

THE CITY POLICE SUED AGAIN

Click here for the original LIP article shown above from April 16, 2018 about Brandon McCormick and three other police hires and here for today’s LNP article stating Officer McCormick is the subject of a federal lawsuit.

The plaintiff in the lawsuit, Sha-ki Staten, may live in Virginia now but he was a stand-out sports player at McCaskey (pictured above). LNP never mentions that in their article and LNP has never said a word as the city hired white officer after white officer after white officer.
Please check back later today.

Finally! An assistant prosecutor with the balls to say, “We can’t prosecute this case. There’s no evidence and charges should never have been brought”. It certainly wasn’t Caitlyn Blazier or Codr Wade. Had to be a new hire. Now, if some of these uneducated district judges would grow a set, we might be able to get the justice system back on track….

This should be a federal law suit.

  3. He couldn't breath says:

Bulldoze this hell hole torture chamber into the ground!

The conditions at Lancaster County Prison have been inhumane, deplorable, well known and ignored for many, many decades. It is abhorrent that this continues. What the hell is wrong with ALL the county commissioners that we have had in the past 50 or so years that have ignore this and allowed it to continue. How many people have to die unnecessarily until someone steps up and corrects these conditions? Josh Parsons, I am counting on you to institute steps to make prison habitable. No more needless deaths at Lancaster County Prison!!!

Gee. If the court had provided him with an attorney- as it should have – this prison death would probably not have occurred. PEOPLE IN THE CRIMINAL JUSTICE SYSTEM ARE ENTITLED TO HAVE AN ADVOCATE!!
