I wish she’d do something about fireworks that have been going off every night for over a month. The fireworks sure as hell are disturbing my peace. And all that is required is a law stating no fireworks of any type in the city. So simple. But that would be common sense, too difficult.

You mean a Gun Free Zone sign didn’t prevent this?

    • smh says:

LOL, gun free zone signs are as meaningful and effective as the edict “no fireworks within 150 feet of a building”.

The guy was peacefully protesting. It’s a shame our mayor doesn’t get her knickers in a twist about things that really adversely affect the residents like she did this guy. Jeesh, she must be afraid of guns.

    • Anonymous says:

Right! It’s the guns you can’t see and are being carried illegally that you need to be concerned with. There is probably lots of them here in Lancaster.

    • Anonymous says:

Actually. The Dickina defended his right to open carry. Hipster progressive, and old world Lancastrian. That’s our mayor Dickina. She wants a second term!

His name is in the comments on her page. Apparently he brandished a knife at his kid’s school and was arrested and convicted. Someone comments that the conviction was overturned on appeal.

    • Becky says:

Was it confirmed that was him? I didn’t see anything definite that it was him. If it is – this guy has a problem!

      • Anonymous says:

He did not “brandish” a knife (read the Superior Court decision) and the appeal was precedent setting. Case was all about D.A. Craig Stedman being an asshole, as usual. Stedman LOST the appeal..thank God. I think Gearty was the appellate lawyer, which explains why corrupt county judges treated him like shit after that, leading to his eventual suicide.

        • Corrupt Courts says:

As much as I’d like to agree with you about our inept Lancaster County judges, Justin Gearty’s blood is only semi on their hands. It is my opinion that Wendy Chan should take full responsibility for Justin’s unfortunate end. The judges are also at fault because they know what Wendy Chan is but they do nothing about her. Every Lancaster family law lawyer either wants cases against Wendy because they know Wendy will keep conflict going to increase her billable hours or they outright refuse to take cases against her because they actually care about the ethics we are all sworn to uphold and we don’t want to hose our own clients just for a large payday. Wendy Chan lies and creates so much conflict during cases, even with opposing counsel, because she only cares about money. She will literally destroy her own client, just like she did with Justin’s ex wife, in order to keep the conflict going and keep up charging her clients. Wendy Chan called the IRS and state on Justin and wrote whatever lies she could come up with to try and discredit him in the legal community. Justin was pushed to the point where he felt like such a failure that his kids would be better without him. That’s what despicable lawyers like Wendy do and pride themselves on. Good lawyers realize their job is to minimize the conflict and get their client to a place of reconciliation and compromise so the kids will have two loving parents. Justin’s kids will never have that now because of Wendy and her lies and Justin’s ex wife hates herself because she allowed Wendy to literally destroy her children’s father and those kids will know the truth one day. They won’t have their father and they will despise their mother for his death. This happens every damn day in Lancaster County courts and the lawyers nor the judges do anything about it. The next movement should be about the corrupt courts. Remember, bad police officers get off because corrupt judges don’t uphold the law. Same principle with bad lawyers. High conflict custody and divorce cases are allowed to happen because we have judges that have no idea how to help families in crisis and lawyers that prey on the conflict to buy their beach houses.

          • Don’t judge us all by Chan’s MO says:

Chan’s MO is to make the opposing sides hate each other so badly and be so fearful of one another that they don’t communicate at all. It’s a tactic she uses so the opposing sides do not talk it out and resolve the case before Chan has bilked her client of every penny they’ve ever had. Chan’s methods are widely known and the only good thing is the judges know what Chan is and what Chan tries to do. Judges also know that allegations in a Chan case are so trumped up that the other side most likely is telling the truth. Chan is a disgrace to the legal system and it is why no attorney stays with her very long.

          • Anonymous says:

You contradict yourself in the first paragraph..and agree with me that it is, ultimately, up to judges to reign in corrupt lawyers like Craig Stedman and Wendy Chan. In Lancaster County, the judges embrace pond scum. One is only as corrupt as the person above them.

          • Anonymous says:

Well said. And the same is true in probate court.

I bet this asshole loved all the attention he got with his widdle peashooter.

By the time he could whip it around and get ready to fire, anyone with a homicidal streak has already walked up behind him and stabbed him repeatedly in the back.

Bravado without brains. Very easy targets. Fool.

    • anon says:

21 foot rule. If you’re within 21 feet of a person a knife is the best weapon. A normal person can close that distance before a person with a gun can pull aim and fire. Again, Drama Queen. (With a knife in his head)

    • anon says:

He must be scared to death one of those vulnerable grandmas is going to beat him to death with her pocketbook for not wearing a mask so he better be able to slaughter her with his AR. What a sissy.

OK…I do understand (after an explanation from my son) that he can legally carry that, but now I read that it is a Gunfree Zone…….is it posted and was he apprehended for that?

    • Becky says:

From what I can tell from all the comments he was not apprehended. Regarding the gun free zone – I think around a school it is set in concrete – Central Market – I don’t know. How many signs do they have and can it be enforced? I don’t know.

Business owners have rights and responsibilities as well. No shoes No shirt No mask No service.

  10. anon says:

The irony is the mask protesters don’t have a clue about contagions so there just sheeple. Trump’s sheeple. Goal is to reopen the economy ASAP. Increasing cases slow down reopening. Idiots. Sheep.

  11. anon says:

Bring an assault rifle cause you don’t want to wear a mask to protect others? Drama Queen.

  12. barryinwinnipeg says:

My last comment on wearing masks. Right not we have no Covid-19 vaccine and the therapies for those who have severe cases are often “hail Mary” attempts to keep people alive. God grant us a good vaccine and effective therapeutics–soon! Till then, we have three things that slow the spread. Wearing masks in public, hand washing, and social distancing come to mind. It has cost every state and province umpteen millions, maybe billions, to try to flatten this curve, but in the majority of US States, new cases are surging, and in some places like Huston, Tx and in Arizona, the medical system may break under the pressure–yet still some people will not wear a mask. Let me give you an analogy. The VAST majority of us have no problem covering our private parts outside of the shower. Why is covering our face to save lives suddenly a “freedom” issue? Wise up, America, it’s a lot better than being on a ventilator!

  13. Jojo says:

Scary! Don’t like the looks of that! I’m not too acquainted with the law…..but……that doesn’t look like concealed carry! If I’m wrong, correct, please.

  14. Jojo says:

    Not even worth a comment!
