—   Rape. It’s called rape.
—   Rape. The word you’re looking for is “rape.”
—   If only there were a shorter way to say “and had sex with her despite being told to stop”……. #itscalledrape
Posted on Lancaster Online under the story, “East Earl police officer placed on leave after abuse allegations,” (click here).
So, all of those people are guilty of slander as well? And on a public forum that is much, much larger than this site?
This is how they “protect” the white and privileged in Lancaster County! Who is going to stop the District Attorney and the Judges from doing this? Who will say “You can’t ARD that! It was not intended nor written for violent/sexual crimes!”
It should be the Lancaster Newspapers who ultimately hold these officials accountable – but they never have. Up until two years ago, white privilege everywhere was just fine with this newspaper and the owners. I wrote about the racism at LNP for years.
LNP ignored the public outcry when President Judge Joseph Madenspacker broke the law to protect a cop’s son and his friend (click here for “Cop’s son and friend face 9-month stint in ‘motivational boot camp’ for raid of West Hempfield home”).
Jeffrey Conrad, who was one of the teenager’s defense attorneys and is now a Judge – agreed to the boot camp and said one of the scariest and most racist things I have heard in a Lancaster courtroom: He said to Judge Madenspacher, “He [his client Luke Karpathios] doesn’t look like a criminal.” Judge Madenspacher nodded his head and agreed. What does a criminal look like in Lancaster County? Apparently they aren’t white!

UPDATE 5-19-20 – “SLANDER?”

        This email in yesterday:
I guess the word “slander” is unfamiliar to you. Here is the definition: the action or crime of making a false spoken statement damaging to a person’s reputation. Young was not accused of or charged with rape. Using your thinking, Joe Biden is a rapist because of the allegations against him.
     Seriously? Are you his attorney?
Please check back later today.

District Attorney Heather Adams (left) and Lancaster County Judge Margaret C. Miller.

Will these two women defy the law and allow a rapist into the ARD program? How long has this been going on in Lancaster?

Please see yesterday’s post and check back later today.

Yes Terry. But. He is white. He is a police officer. And this is Lancaster County.

  2. Anonymous says:

Has anyone noticed Heather Adams apple? If you google her name and hit images a lot of pics show up. Keep looking until you see it lol

  3. Benton Harbor says:

I understand that all new hires at LNP are issued sunglasses to protect them from the WHITE glare in the newsroom.

??? Answer. Neither slander nor libel are a crime in Pennsylvania. Title 18 is the criminal code. You wont find either listed. Both are CIVILLY actionable under certain conditions, as PA is one of a handful of states that recognize a state constitutional “right to repututation”. (A beautifully written one, IMO.) The federal constitution does not. If slander were a crime in PA, everyone would be in jail. (Think: debtor’s prison).

  5. Anonymous says:

Slander is not a crime in Pennsylvania.

  6. Anonymous says:

    1. ARD is an admission of guilt to a criminal charge.

    2. The allegations against Joe Biden are just that: allegations. They are, more than likely, false and (therefore) slanderous, as there is no proof, whatsoever, and he has never been charged with a crime.

    3. I doubt a lawyer would send anything as stupid as that email.

  7. Anonymous says:

If he was Christopher Young the women’s shoe salesman, do you think he’d be offered ARD?

  8. Terry says:

He is charged with a felony, sexual assault. Still a bit much for ARD consideration.
