REMOVE ALL BARRIERS!
Thank you very much, councilman Xavier Garcia-Molina (pictured left), for responding to my email regarding the livestreaming of city council meetings (see below and click here to see all the city council members). I appreciate your concern and follow-up. Garcia-Molina is a new city council member and was sworn in on January 6th of this year.
I sent an email to all the city council members and to city hall regarding the livestream failures. His is the only response I have received so far. Tonight’s two council meetings should be livestreamed on the city’s YouTube channel (click here).
There will be more tomorrow.
“LOOKING UNDER THE HOOD“
* City Hall is contracting with Philadelphia-based PFM Group Consulting to conduct a thorough, top-to-bottom review, looking at ways to cut costs, improve efficiency and enhance revenue, director of administrative services Patrick Hopkins and Mayor Danene Sorace told City Council. Its final report and recommendations are expected in late February.
Remember this from the October 2019 LNP article, “Lancaster selects PFM Group Consulting to review city finances, operations,” (click here) and from this site (click here).
According to tonight’s committee meeting agenda, their report which cost the city $124,975, will be presented to council tonight (see below and click here for the full agenda).
CITY COUNCIL HAS
