—  Doing some research this afternoon.  —

**   April Koppenhaver  of Mulberry Art Studio sent an email encouraging the public to attend the Mayor’s “State of the City” address as an opportunity to discuss the proposed artwork for Ewell Plaza (see her email below). The link for the free tickets is here.

*    Mayor Sorace’s “State of the City” address is scheduled for Tuesday, January 28th beginning at 6:00 pm at The Ware Center.
According to the city’s Facebook page, it will be livestreamed (see below). Imagine that? Will they be up to the technology to really do it? As a friend said this morning – “They will do it – magic!”

The headline to today’s LNP editorial in their print edition this morning.

The editorial is about Governor Tom Wolf and open records.
But why hasn’t LNP demanded answers about the city’s failure to livestream city council meetings? It’s been a year! The city bought special equipment to do it!
So what is going wrong and why doesn’t LNP ask? Or do they secretly support the failures because they want to control the news the public receives?
Please check back later today.

  1. Miss the New Era says:

Lancaster City does not award bids at City Council meetings. They do it in secret. That is a violation of state law. It is how things like MAW happen. The newspaper knows and doesn’t do anything about it. How is that for secrecy ?
