10-5-19 UPDATE

The following Right to Know request was just faxed into the city of Lancaster:
The dashcam videos from the two Lancaster Bureau of Police cruisers that cover the collision of the two cruisers on Wednesday, October 2nd at approximately 7:00 pm at the intersection of Queen and James Streets.
Hey, LNP got the dashcam of President Judge Dennis Reinaker’s stop by the East Lampeter Township Police. We will see what happens.

—  Taking a break this afternoon. Have a safe and happy First Friday!

How does this happen and why haven’t the police provided any information? Why hasn’t the media asked?
Two police cruisers collided in the city on Wednesday (click here for the WGAL video). When will the public get answers?
Please check back later today.

So i guess we just accept the fact they were on their phones. Typical liberal thinking…accept comments without proof.

  2. Old & Canadian says:

What is the over/under that the police recordings were not working on those particular dates and times?!

  3. Jay says:

Ok, So I will explain for people to know the Officer’s who are Dispatched to calls those calls are Sent to the Vehicle’s Laptop they use the Radio’s they have are second to dispatch so while driving to the call they are also looking at a screen to see what other units are responding this is due to New Tech shit happening in this and fire trucks along with the Info from county dispatch on what is happening before they get there most officers can do this well but the Newbie’s don’t know how to yet so yes maybe one of them was a bit distracted by looking at the laptop for more info Accidents do Happen.

We really can’t expect LNP (leastNewsPossible) to actually ask questions, can we?? Especially if it involves the Police Department, the Mayor’s office, the City Council, the District attorneys office, the Fire department, the Streets department,,,,anyone I’m missing????

In all fairness to Lousy News Paper, they have fairs and where to see autumn leaves stories to cover. Plus. They may not have gotten a press release about it to rewrite.

I think you pretty much covered every area

This is can happen quite easily at this intersection. If there was not a light there there would be many civilian accidents, visibility is terrible with parking. If they both had sirens blaring they would not have been be able to see or hear. I am assuming one was on Queen and one was on James Glad no one got hurt.

Of course the police never exceed 25 mph and don’t use cell phones while they drive…please note the sarcasm

Theres no excuse for it. The same thing happened on water & vine st. before. The sirens does not mean they have the right of way. Its to alert others but they still need to slow down to look for pedestrians and traffic. The chief of police needs to address this issue. These 2 incidents mentioned are not the only ones ive heard of. Like Mike mentioned a lot of the times police are on the phones while driving & speeding.
