CITY COUNCIL MEETS TONIGHT!
If you can’t attend tonight’s city council meeting beginning at 7:30 pm, it should be live-streamed on the city’s YouTube channel (click here).
— Raymond Speller has been arrested in the city (click here):
On Tuesday September 24, 2019 at approximately 1244 hrs. Detectives from Lancaster Bureau of Police developed information that Raymond Speller was inside a residence on the 600 blk. First St.
Members of the Bureau of Police responded to the area and established a perimeter around the residence. A public address system was used to call the occupants of the residence out. Raymond Speller exited the residence and surrendered to Police. Speller was arrested on the warrant and transported to the station for processing.
Speller has not yet been arraigned and no bail information is available as of the time of this release. This investigation is still active and on-going. If there is any additional information that needs to be released, supplemental publications will follow.
All persons accused of a crime are presumed innocent unless proven guilty in court.
** The police have charged Raymond Speller (pictured below) with yesterday’s shooting death of Pedro Almodovar (click here for the latest police press release). If you know his whereabouts, please call the police (717-735-3301) or if you see him, dial 9-1-1 immediately.
* A note about yesterday’s story: I have corrected the spelling of Pedro Almodovar immediately below. I took the spelling from his Facebook page which has an “o” and not an “a.”
This is not a heart-warming human interest story. It’s a tragedy waiting to happen.
Posted on Lancaster Online under the story, “A grocery run for one Amish farmer means a 6-mile buggy trip on Route 30,” (click here).
The response and comments about this story seem to have caught the LNP editorial board totally off guard. Their solution is above: We need to slow down (click here)! Really? Will that solve the multiple problems?
Please check back later today.
