*    While attorney Alan Goldberg was getting his client’s $2 million dollar cash bail reduced to $50,000 unsecured yesterday, his partner, Robert Beyer was also in court getting the serious charges against his client dropped (see left and click here to read the article). And Jeremy Roland also managed to stay out of jail this whole time on unsecured bail. Amazing!

UPDATED 8-17-19

Brown’s attorney, Alan Goldberg, did not respond to a request for comment Friday.
The last sentence in the above LNP article (click here).
No, Alan Goldberg and his partner, Robert Beyer, who together make up the law firm of Goldberg & Beyer, almost never comment to the press. But they get impressive and repeated and surprising win after win.

This is the DA’s Office own press release (click here). Why didn’t they stop this? Senior District Judge Robert A. Herman Jr. should never hear another case!

This shocking story is on Lancaster Online (click here).

The charges against Timothy Mark Sterner.

The bail change on his docket from $2 million cash to $50,000 unsecured.      The bail conditions set by District Judge Robert A. Herman, Jr. according to the LNP article.

I’ve been watching the Lancaster Courts for many years now. Strangely, when I see a bail amount or a sentence that makes my head spin the law firm most frequently involved is Goldberg & Beyer. Imagine that! Are they golden or what?

LNP puts a slanted headline on the above story (click here). Billy Weisser, who has addressed city council twice regarding MAW and LanCity Connect, posted the below under the article on LNP’s Facebook page.

“They have to be doing somethin for the d.a. ” Nothing spells publiC corruption like hefty campaign contributions to a local judicial candidate. Make me puke.

  2. Talking says:

Golden? They are the best criminal lawyers in Lancaster. PERIOD. Maybe the best in the region. They focus on winning in court and never bother with the press. Clearly this is a smart strategy and one that produces results for their clients. They play their role in our justice system, a flawed system but the best one that I am aware of, defending their clients to the best of their ability as our constitution affords all defendants. If I had a criminal issue in Lancaster and I could afford their fees, that is exactly who I would call.

    Wasn’t Robert Beyer’s father John, Lancaster’s district attorney from 1943 to 1953?

Fritz Haverstick is a putz. Taxpayers are footing his overpriced lawyer brother’s bills to save Craig Stedman from public corruption charges.

Goldberg and Beyer is a good law firm for clients who don’t know they make deals with the devil and trade off (turn on) one client for another depending on who the evil wants worseto boost his political career. So a sex predator will get a lower bail (unopposed by Stedman) if Stedman has axe to grind with lower case offender. Magistrate judges here do whatever Stedman tells them to.

Goldberg & Beyer almost always get their way in court for their clients. They have to be doing something for the d.a. or know someone that has important connection. Before you walk in the office it has a “brothel” feel to the outside. The energy there matches their job description.

Kick a dog? Still in jail

Steal cardboard (wonder whatever happened to those guys) a half million dollar bail.

Have a baby, call for help? Still in jail.

Now down three teens, killing two? Living at home and on the internet trying to friend one of your victim’s family.

Accused of sexual advances and worse? If you’re Amish, you go to summer camp. Music teacher with control over students? Unsecured bail.

    What a screwed up judiciary.

Welcome to Lancaster County. That’s OUR Lancaster County. You must be an outsider or newcomer. Weeeeelll. That won’t fly. Not in OUR Lancaster County. Amish and people with money and important relatives (and who are white) not only get-but deserve-special treatment. This is OUR Lancaster County. Not yours. OURS! Don’t like it? LEAVE!

Good one. Just an FYI, grew up there, went to school there. I know where a lot of the skeletons are buried.

Mayor Dickina never has anything to say. Finding her is Lancaster’s version of Where’s Waldo?

  8. huh? says:

I’m disappointed. The new restaurant at the Marriott is called the Plough. Methinks it would be better and more akin to Lancaster favorites were it named The Trough.

Besides that, Plough carries innuendo… Will it become a meeting place for out of towners and ladies of the evening?

LOL, what a clown show at least until the city govt idiots opt to go along with this charade and dump it on us taxpayers. Lancaster, just stay with Comcast (which you shoved down our throats) and be done with fraudulent nonsense.
