3-23-19 UPDATE – The below is a brief excerpt from the defendant’s response in Officer Christopher Young’s lawsuit. So Chief Kevin McCarthy knew he had a problem officer on August 26, 2017. Where are the criminal charges against this officer? As commenters under the LNP story are pointing out – it is called “rape!”

Officer Christopher B. Young from his Facebook page and the LNP headline to this absolutely horrendous abuse story (click here).

Below is the beginning of a lawsuit filed by Officer Christopher B. Young on September 13, 2018 in Lancaster Common Pleas Court alleging libel and slander and requesting over $50,000 in damages (click here to read it in its entirety).
The defendant in the case strongly answered his complaint on October 17th, 2018 (click here).
On October 23rd, 2018, Young entered a Praecipe to “Withdraw, Discontinue and End” the case.
How long did the East Earl Township police department know they had a problem officer on their force?

It doesn’t get any more important than this.

  1. Good says:

He was a mean and bad officer for east war. Glad to see him gone

  2. huh? says:

P.S. my initial take on his photo? Typical roided up arms, modified wife beater T-shirt and modified skinhead hair. All the typical cop look these days. “The Intimidator” look. No more Officer Friendly…

  3. huh? says:

Anonymous, you’re way off the mark. My comment was merely an observation. Not an opinion.

  4. Anonymous says:

Huh: I think you mean “her mom was the VICTIM’s chief ADVOCATE”. You seem to be siding with him the way you word it – as if the daughter didn’t have a problem with him. WOMEN in Lancaster County have virtually NO advocates. She’s lucky she has a mom. It’s not hard to believe – at all – she didn’t want to go up against a cop! They are above the law in Lancaster County. History shows us that.
…And Good thing it didn’t happen in Manor Township. If you are a man in Manor – even, a convicted felon with a history of violence toward women and animals – you can have a female charged with “trespassing” for mowing her own lawn or “moving a stick” in her way… Just your “word” will do. If you are female, no “videotape evidence” no “probable cause”. No matter how disgusting and sick the crime…. Remember the stalking victim who had to hire a private detective and MTPD only charged the guy after the video went viral? That’s still their policy. You solve the crime, we’ll charge the guy….

  5. huh? says:

That’s sort of what I was alluding to. I can imagine a situation where the victim is feeling too threatened to do anything

  6. huh? says:

Interesting that her mom seems to have been his chief adversary.

    • Becky says:

I’m not sure it’s that unusual, huh? I had a mother call me with a similar situation and in terrible fear for her daughter.
