     Is the public safe?  Should the public be looking for two men?  This is simply outrageous!  The Lancaster Newspapers seriously need to be run out of town and the police need to be investigated!

     Three reporters – check the byline – three reporters who tell us absolutely nothing in their huge, front-page lead story!  The important, obvious question they don’t answer is asked by a poster under the story (click here):
     Two taken into custody, two released. Does that mean two suspects are still at large?
      Could you answer that most basic question Ryan Robinson, Cindy Stauffer and Jennifer Todd?  Do the descriptions the police released yesterday still hold or is it now two different men?
     And the police spent enough money to hire two new officers for a year or keep LNP’s convention center open for another three months:
     A few dozen police officers from area departments were searching the park, along with a state police helicopter, two city police horses, bloodhounds from Red Rose Search and Rescue and members of the county sheriff’s office, Umstead said.
     Is this a joke?  Please see the post immediately below on this site and check back later today.  Would someone hold these out-of-control, incompetent police accountable?

Many neighbors, friends and family of Erma Kaylor, who was brutally stabbed to death on May 16, 2012 in her 235 West Vine Street home, have strongly suggested that Markeem Lamar Zink, who lived above her in Apartment #2, was her killer.  They have asked the police repeatedly if he has been questioned and given a DNA test and they have gotten no reponse. 
 
On their behalf, and for the safety of everyone, I am asking if a DNA test has been performed on Markeem Lamar Zink.  It is my absolute understanding that a DNA test was performed on at least one other suspect, indicating the police have the DNA of Erma Kaylor’s killer.  Has a DNA test been performed on Markeem Lamar Zink?
 
I look forward to your prompt response.  I will be forwarding this email and the response to the State Attorney General’s office along with petitions requesting their office assist the Lancaster Police in bringing justice for Erma Kaylor, her family, friends and neighbors and removing her killer from the street.

     This comment was posted under the story: 
     Hmmm they have no idea where she was abducted but from the cell phone call they deduced that she was in the County Park???
     How could she not have told the cops where she was abducted by now?
     Also she was abducted at 8;45 and a little more than 15 minutes later she was rescued??
     Hmmm indeed!  I guess when the Lancaster police want to do their jobs they’re exceptionally good at it?  I can’t wait to see how this story unfolds and what, if anything, these two men are charged with!

WHY NO ARREST?

     Reverend Lawrence Houston outside City Hall on Friday discussing the 16 unsolved murders, including his brother Spencer Houston, under Mayor Gray with a passerby and signer of the petition to have the State Attorney General’s office help investigate these killings.
 
     Spencer Houston was shot multiple times and killed two years ago today in his home at 491 New Holland Avenue.  The Lancaster Police have his killer on video.  No, it’s not from the Lancaster County Safety Coalition Camera which is right outside his apartment.  It’s from Houston’s own personal video camera he had set up aimed at his door to know who was outside. 
     His brother, the Reverend Lawrence Houston, said he has never seen the video.  He stated this Friday that the police will not let him see it and have not told him who is on the video. 
     The police know who killed Spencer Houston.  They have known for two years who killed Spencer Houston.  Why has there been no arrest?

     Reverend Lawrence Houston and myself yesterday in front of City Hall.  Houston’s brother, Spencer, was shot multiple times and killed two years ago this Sunday.  No one has been arrested for his murder.  Reverend Houston told me some truly shocking details regarding the police and their investigation in his brother’s murder.  That will come on Sunday.
    In better news, well over 100 people signed yesterday’s petition!

     Lancaster Police Detective Lt. Mike Winters was interviewed by the Lancaster Newspapers, WGAL and Fox-43 on the one year anniversary of the brutal unsolved murder of 83-year-old Erma Kaylor in her home yesterday.  I have a great deal to say about his interviews, but let me start with two obvious items:
     1.  Winters should relish receiving help and a fresh set of eyes to solve her murder. 
     2.  No one asked Winters about the Lancaster Police’s track record in solving murders.  It’s not good.  There have been sixteen unsolved murders in the last six and one-half years since Mayor Gray took office. 
     That’s why today, I will be in front of City Hall, 120 N. Duke Street, from 11:00 am to 3:00 pm with a petition asking the State Attorney General’s Office to help with those investigations.

      Cherlie LaFleur, the 19-year-old McCaskey student charged with one misdemenor count of concealing the death of a child and being held in jail on one million dollars bond was released today on her own recognizance after a bail hearing this morning in front of District Judge Janice Jimenez. 
     I can not give specifics or name names, but if you don’t think you can make a difference, then heed this story because two determined people who were outraged by LaFleur’s situation sent endless emails and made endless calls to help her.  My heartfelt thanks to them and there will be much more on this story at a later date.  (You can click here and here to read the two LNP stories and here for mine, “DISGUSTING GRANDSTANDING BY THE DA!”).
     Please note that this Thursday, May 16th, from 11:00 am to 3:00 pm, I will be in front of the Lancaster Police Department protesting the 16 unsolved murders under Mayor Gray in the last six-and-one-half years and asking people to sign a petition requesting the State Attorney General’s Office step in to assist in getting justice for the victim’s families and the killers off the street. On Friday I will be in front of City Hall for those same hours and on Saturday in front of the Lancaster Newspaper’s Office at 8 W. King Street for those same hours protesting their discrimination in hiring and failure to cover these murders and hold the police accountable.
     To this morning’s story – the man who was arrested has not yet been identified.  I left a voicemail this afternoon with Police Spokesman Lt. Todd Umstead and I am awaiting his return call.

          There was a major arrest yesterday morning at approximately 9:00 am at 226 W. Vine Street.  This is across the street from Erma Kaylor’s home where whe was brutally slashed to death last May 16th.  No one has been arrested for her murder (please see “ENOUGH IS ENOUGH!” immediately below on this site). 
     The person arrested yesterday morning and the reason is unknown at this time.  LIP News hopes to have answers by this afternoon.  The pictures and video are courtesy of “Must See Pics an Vids” Facebook page.
     In one other interesting development, the police suddenly are claiming the cameras helped make this arrest which also has not yet made the news.
