…it would be nice if mayor Dick would lose sleep over the ten plus unsolved homicides that have happened on his watch.
Part of a comment posted under today’s article, “Vigil in city tonight remembers Sandy Hook victims,” (click here).
Agreed.  His comments actually turn my stomach.
I’ll come back to this and other news tomorrow.

     *     WGAL-TV reports Rouit Bahadur is the man who was killed at 21 E. Walnut Street on Monday evening (click here). They also report the coroner says he died from stab wounds to his neck and face.
The white pages list a R. Bahadur at the address in Apartment #4 with a phone number. I dialed it yesterday and the man who answered said I had the wrong number and said he has only had the number for two weeks. There is a family with that last name listed in Mountville.
My heart goes out to his family and friends and hopefully there will be a very quick arrest of the person responsible for his brutal murder.

Did you see this morning’s front page headline, “City police probe apparent homicide?” Am I missing something? Can the three reporters who wrote this story and the editor who wrote this headline understand English?

Did they not hear Police Chief Keith Sadler say in their own video of his press conference, “…it’s being ruled a homicide at this point. The deceased had multiple lacerations to the right side of his head and face,” (click here for the article and video).

[Editor’s note: This site is taking a very long time to load and I am having tremendous trouble publishing. Please be patient. There will be much more this afternoon.]

“We are one of the most viewed websites in PA, logging thousands of hits a day.”
Posted by a forum administrator yesterday.
I call BS! Where is this list of most viewed websites in PA? Your traffic is most certainly behind any newspaper or TV sites in PA which immediately makes your statement false. And I thought we all learned years ago that “hits” and “visits” and “unique visitors” are all very different items and hits doesn’t mean a hill of beans.
And I thought part of the point of all this is that it is the world wide web. Barry from Canada and Galty from England read and post on this site (and I love them both dearly). And I think Chase from might take exception with your statement as well.
I just simply don’t like exaggerators or flat-out liars. Period.
And speaking of beans and forums, what’s up with Lancaster Online? They now have three places you can comment and it’s almost impossible to keep up. You can post directly under the story, on their Facebook page or on their “old” Trashback forum where a handful of jokesters led by the devilish “davebeans” are having a blast.
However, new articles from the site are not being posted on the forum and they are getting worried. It could be the LNP person responsible is on vacation (that did happen last year) or they could be letting the forum die a slow death. But that’s not fair to the posters who remain so either start posting the articles or kill the forum, LNP.
I would actually hate to see it die. I’ve been “covering” it so to speak for over eight years and I love forums. But if it does shut down, “davebeans” and any of the others are welcome here to write a piece or two or just post. Some of these folks are fantastic writers!
Okay, tomorrow back to serious news and I’ll also finish up the “GOING TO THE BISHOP!” story – and believe it or not, I’m going to tie it into the Penn State/Sandusky scandal. Oh, my!

Well, wow again! This looks like a website, oh, my!
Thanks again to Chase from! He owns that forum and, and I’ve been telling him for years how to run them! The fact that he doesn’t listen to me bothers me, of course, but then again, I tell everyone how to run their forums! 😉
I’m making a wish list for him as I take a closer look and if you see anything you think could be improved, please let me know. A couple of quick notes:
    — This site was taking a long time to load at some points yesterday. That is being worked on.
    — We are still working on the “random posts” block on the right of the site and are still not sure exactly how, when and what it will fill in with! The “mystery box!”
    — “Social Media” – I have a Facebook account but that is personal and I have no plans right now on taking any part of this site to a Facebook page. More on that to follow.
    — I’ve had the twitter account for years and I’ve never used it. It is the least of my worries (Chase, maybe you could make that link even smaller). I have so much to learn here that I don’t have time to play around with it. The only time I can see it as valuable is if I’m covering a specific event or trial and that’s my easiest way to communicate. If that happens, I’ll let you know in advance.
    — The “popular posts” are the ones with the most comments and those showing are from the Roseboro story/trial. I can’t imagine getting that many comments again on a story anytime soon, so I’m pondering what to do. It is an amazing walk down history lane, however.
I have to try to post this now! Again, please be patient and thanks again to Chase and for reading and please check back this afternoon!

On December 6, 2010, an arsonist killed Olga Sanchez-Reyes and critically injured two of her children. A year-and-a-half before, an arsonist also targeted a property owned by Sanchez-Reyes and her husband. This post will remain at the top of this site until an arrest is made in this horrific murder and also the horrific murder below added in July of this year.

On May 16th of this year, 83-year-old Erma Kaylor was brutally stabbed to death in her home at 235 W. Vine Street.  No arrest has been made.

This permanent box had been up for over a year when on July 29, 2012, I chanced upon Rosaura Torres-Sadler and her book detailing physical abuse by her ex-husband, the current Chief of the Lancaster Police, Keith Sadler (click here).
The Lancaster Newspapers have not written one word about this  and most citizens in Lancaster are unaware of his past.   “Abuse Hidden Behind the Badge” is available from
