ROWE: AN APPEAL COMING?

From left to right: Raymond Rowe, today’s LNP article (click here), Philadelphia Appeals Attorney Todd Michael Mosser.

On October 28th, Raymond Rowe, who pleaded guilty to the rape and murder of Christy Mirack, filed a Motion to Withdraw Counsel. On November 6th, Philadelphia Appeals Attorney Todd Michael Mosser filed an Entry of Appearance and is now listed as Rowe’s attorney on his docket.
It certainly looks like an appeal will be forthcoming. See below for the latest portion of his docket and click here for the website for Mosser.

GONE TO THE DOGS!

…My next train of thought was: Is a fund for matching City Council members with guide dogs needed? Have they not visited the galleries or noticed the wonderful murals in our city (and county) created by local artists? Have they missed the thriving art community centered in downtown Lancaster?
From a Letter to the Editor of LNP titled, “Local artist should design installation,” (click here).
What an excellent letter and, yes, shame on them! What an expensive disgrace this whole thing has turned into.
Please check back later today.

I understand, but wasn’t it explained that local artists were considered but that none of them had the experience/ability to design work on this scale that would be incorporated into the actual architecture of the building? Artwork such as this doesn’t just require an artistic mind/talent, but also requires knowledge/experience of architecture, engineering, etc. And I thought they chose this option (incorporating art into the architectural design) because it wouldn’t require additional funds than those already required to be spent on the project. If I recall correctly, it was reported that the budget that was set for the work was the same as it would cost to install typical screening (which I believe is required for the facade of a parking garage). I understand people don’t like the design, but I think it is unfair to call it expensive when, so far, we have been told it isn’t going to cost anything that wasn’t already going to be spent on a necessary feature and to judge the outsourcing without pointing out a viable and willing local alternative.

Thank you, Ms Walker for expressing thoughts that many Lancastrians have regarding the Ewell Plaza art project.
