*     Yet with its two daily and Sunday newspapers, Lancaster Newspapers functioned as the print source of information for Lancaster County. The Steinmans had a complete monopoly over the print market (62). The newspaper still remained the primary means of getting local news. Lancaster Newspapers’ involvement in the project meant that its reporters and editors would cover a project in which the Steinmans held a major financial stake. That is not merely the appearance of a conflict of interest; that is a conflict of interest.
From page 68 and 69 of “Pressed.”
And that is exactly why this site has stated for years that the Steinmans and LNP break every code of journalism ethics in this country every day.

LNP: YOUR COMMUNITY,
WATCHDOG NEWSPAPER?

It took Lancaster Newspapers more than eight years to disclose its ownership in a project that involved more than $100 million of public money. This indicates how the company covered the project. The company used the newspapers to promote the project, rather than report on it – and, when necessary, to attack opponents of its downtown hotel project.

  1. Cowards and Thieves! says:

You gotta be kidding me? You think any of those democrat committee servants give a damn about Molly’s truth? The Dem Committee did NOTHING to help Molly. All they did do was get party hack Craig Lehman decorated up to run for Molly’s seat. Pathetic! Molly deserves another term but the Dems bowed down to LNP and sacrificed Molly because they knew Craig “do nothing and look the other way” Lehman would kiss LNP’s ring. Just like with DA Stedman. DA Stedman was in office with Craig Lehman for how many years and never said a damn thing about what DA Stedman did or didn’t do. Why? Because Craig Lehman needed LNP to benefit from Craig Lehman saying something so when LNP went after DA Stedman, Craig Lehman pretended he grew a pair and became obnoxiously outraged. Molly got screwed and the Dem Committee sold out and gave a puppet in Craig Lehman to LNP. Lancaster Stands Up was born because the Dem Committee and their hand picks are not worth a damn. The true atrocity is what Craig Lehman and the Dem Committee did to Molly when they should have supported her. Send all the emails you want. They will just get forwarded to their LNP masters.

  2. smh says:

Page 156 Jack Buckwalter’s deposition, “letters to the editor” were 4 to 1 against the con center. In steps Peggy Steinman “we need more positive letters to the editor” she tells Jack. Voila, they appeared! These people are just despicable! Lancastrians, you MUST read this book.

It appears that LNP is doing the same thing with the multi colored bars on the proposed parking garage.

    • Anonymous says:

LNP doesn’t care about multi-colored bars. Danene cares about multi-colored bars and for the time being LNP cares for Danene.

      • Anonymous says:

Mayor Dickina wants to decorate Lancaster. Well, the Lancaster near the six and seven figure condo’s.

        • Anonymous says:

Hah, thats a good point. I wonder if the Bulova developer thinks colored tubes will help sell those condos?

          • huh? says:

For a million plus penthousses, boy oh boy what a view

Reminds me of the Seinfeld episode where Kramer and Jerry are blinded by the Kenny Rogers Roasters sign.
