…But despite the similarities in each case, police have not linked the murders.
“I am not aware of anything solid at this point to say that the two cases are related,” East Hempfield Township police Sgt. Matthew Pohle said in an email.
City police Capt. Michael Winters agreed.
“Of course we have compared notes, discussed the cases with each other and shared information,” he said.
“We don’t know if they were killed by the same person,” he added, “and at this point there is no solid, notable evidence to say they were.”
Linking the deaths is “pure speculation,” Winters said.
From the LNP article shown above (click here) and Sgt. Matthew Pohle is pictured above right.
I have an idea for these two hard working but apparently brain dead detectives! Run a simple test and see if the DNA for both killers is a match! Don’t continue to compare notes – compare DNA! You can end the speculation immediately!

Is there dna from the killer in both cases. Just asking as i do not know.

Jeepers. And so close to election time! Oh. And yes. Tom Knapp IS that stupid.

Knapp IS that unschooled when it comes to DNA. He interviewed a woman a few years ago who was abandoned on a porch as an infant. He wasn’t even aware that there were more resources than CODIS to compare DNA. It took people commenting under the article to help her.

His attitude in writing was pretty much oh well.

Oh my God Becky, look at their DNA…..

I crack myself up sometimes. But for real, if they start messing around with DNA it could match one of their boys in blue and we can’t have that sort of thing happening in Lancaster.

The only way to get answers from the police and DA’s office in Lancaster is to embarrass them! And Tom Knapp, who wrote the LNP article, cannot be that stupid. He’s writing an article about advances in DNA after DNA led to the arrest of Raymond Rowe in Christy Mirack’s murder but he doesn’t ask these two detectives why they haven’t compared the DNA in the two murders he’s writing about? Can he be that stupid?

And what about LNP managing editor Tom Murse – can he be that stupid not to ask why they don’t do a simple DNA comparison? No, it appears once again he was “protecting the police” and not demanding answers to a simple, extremely obvious question!
