Once again, because of the layout of this site, one topic gets piled on top of another. I am working on a solution. Tomorrow I will be covering last Monday’s very important city council committee meeting and also LNP reporter Tim Stuhldreher’s lack of coverage.
In the post immediately below this one, I mentioned Susan Hoover’s house at 204 E. King Street and the Historic Commission. It is on the agenda again for tomorrow’s city council meeting (see below). She wants to use fiber-cement siding on her two dormers. They have denied her request. What is fiber-cement siding? Click here for the “This Old House” article shown below.

****  It is interesting that Hobie Crystle who is running for DA has the below up on his Facebook page about probation (the editorial is here). Good job! Why give Osei five years probation? What is the point? Why should taxpayers and Osei be on the hook for five years?

***  The DA’s press release on the sentencing is here and worth the read. DA spokesman Brett Hambright outdoes himself!

**   According to the woman who answered the phone in Judge Margaret Miller’s chambers, Emmanuella Osei was sentenced to 9 to 23 months in prison. That includes time served and she has been in prison since January 16th of this year. That means approximately another four months in jail. She was also sentenced to five years probation.
*     Meanwhile, Lancaster County detectives are having sex acts with women to bring prostitution charges (click here).  Everyone knew this was wrong from the beginning.  Why is LNP just catching on?
These are the comments on Lancaster Online under the original LNP article, “Woman at New Holland health spa arrested for prostitution,” (click here). And why don’t they name the detective?

From the Lancaster County Court calendar for today.

Emmanuella Osei is scheduled to be sentenced this morning before Judge Margaret Miller (click here for “LENIENCY FOR EMMANUELLA OSEI” on this site).
This case is just one more reason why Craig Stedman should not be the District Attorney and most certainly not a judge! This case is based purely on sexism and racism.
Please check back later today.

  1. huh? says:

Josh Shapiro knows just which of the state’s judiciary were involved in the sharing of misogynistic images – incorrectly labeled as porn.

Of course he will run for guv and he will be supported by all of them. He saved their asses by declaring the subject closed. If Kane saved those files and decides to write a tell all book including those images, the judiciary would change overnight.

Regardless of one’s opinion of Kane’s guilt or innocence, she was railroaded.

Huh: I put that ability to fly under the radar squarely on the shoulders of Atty Gen Josh Shapiro – who claims to be “tough on public corruption” but refuses to hold Stedman and his cronies accountable, despite enormous numbers of complaints and ample evidence. Apparently, he is too busy fine tuning his Wiki page. Remember that when he runs for governor. A feckless, spineless a.g. makes for an even worse guv.

Congratulations to d.a. candidate Hobie Crystal and the rest of the legal team for freeing the Pipeline 7 today – and working pro bono on the case for the past 21 months. I hope he fires assistant d.a. Andrew LeFever after he gets elected. Thank you, too, Judge Knisely.

I respectfully disagree that the publicly funded sexual exploitation of women for fun and profit by the office of Lancaster County district atty Craig Stedman is old news. That the trial court was not aware of the practice speaks volumes about Stedman’s deception and willingness to “win at any cost”. Should LNP have reported on it sooner? Of course. Who knows how long it has been going on. But there is so much corruption in Stedman’s office and only one newspaper. I do, however, wish Judge Totaro had immediately put an immediate end to the practice by throwing the case out, as the evidence was gathered “from the fruit of the poisonous tree”. Lancaster County judges, it seems, are more interested in throwing their weight around outside the courtroom or behind closed doors than in doing so publicly, in pursuit of justice – which is their job. Judge Totaro had a clear path to make an important decision and send a clear message to police and prosecutors … and he blew it. I hope the defense files a post trial motion for reconsideration.

I completel agree that “defense” attorney ED PFURSICH DID ABOLUTELY NOTHING TO ADVOCATE FOR HIS COURT APPOINTED CLIENT. He appeared much more interested in saving face for the d.a. and judge. DO NOT HIRE ATTORNEY ED PURSICH IF YOU NEED A LAWYER. Pure pond scum. Paid for by US.

  6. my goodness says:

Yet another travesty heaped upon this woman. Disgusting,

  7. huh? says:

And yet another: Man recovering after July 4 shooting in Lancaster, police say; no charges yet.

    No. Charges. Yet.

  8. huh? says:

The Osei case should be lighting up online forums and social justice sites. For the life of me I don’t know how the county, the judiciary, and all the rest of this screwed up place to murder and get away with it continues to fly under the radar.

One day maybe but by that time all the hell they created will never be rectified.

And, just an FYI, if you hoped that DNA evidence was being vetted like the Mirack case, don’t hold your breath.

Does Stedman condone this behavior just to bust a ho? There are how many murderers running loose? More shame to Lancaster Co.

  10. Anonymous says:

Inhumanity to migrants, thy name is Stedman. And her lawyer is an idiot!!! Shame on us Lancaster Co., shame. Hoping Judge Miller will try to correct some of the many wrongs that have been done to this woman
