*    From the updated press release. I would certainly assume there will be more arrests! Who shot Olaniyi?

Adedolapo Patrick Olaniyi

One man is under arrest and charged as a result of Wednesday’s shooting – the man who is in the hospital  – click here for the updated police press release.

Unbelievably, there has been no update to this story since June 5th. Nothing!
—  What is the condition of the man who was shot multiple times?
—  Was the ‘person of interest’ involved? Was this person arrested? Has   anyone been arrested?
—  Why isn’t the public in danger?
—  What does Mayor Sorace have to say about this? Why isn’t she demanding protection for the public?
—  Does anyone hold the police and DA accountable in Lancaster County?
Please check back later today.

For the record: I never said a PCRA petition can keep you out of prison….just that he has a right to PCRA proceedings. Hundreds are filed every day. If you are really interested, just look up the Post Conviction Relief Act. It is really not uncommon and not some secret or made up thing.

    • Anon says:

And on a side note….you people are freaking insane. All I did was try to clear up how he is able to file another petition in county court post-appeal and you all jump down my throat and act like I’m against you all and sticking up for the guy. Good grief! This is why people find you all unreasonable and crazy!

  2. Anonymous says:

Corll will get minimal-if any-in home arrest. The judge will babble about how he and his family have been through enough, how ex-cops are targets for abuse in prison, and that exceeds punishment for the crime. Then like any bully failed cop he’ll go on to be a prison guard.

  3. Anonymous says:

Corll’s appeals are over. However, if you have friends like Craig Steadman, and Reinaker in Stedman’s corner, THEN you can go “back to the county” when your appeals are over and do whatever you want. Watch him walk.

  4. Anonymous says:

Anon’s assesment of PCRA is completely bass ackwards

Resulting in being continued and rescheduled for July 11th.

      • Becky says:

Maybe Judge Reinaker was too busy working on whatever Ray Corll filed. I don’t understand that. The Supreme Court of PA turned him down! Why is he back in county court? Can anyone explain? Didn’t he already file for post conviction relief and was denied?

        • Anon says:

Defendants also have rights under the Post-Conviction Relief Act…..separate and distinct from direct appellate rights.

          • huh? says:

Fine. But he needs to be doing all this appealing from a prison cell. He was found GUILTY.

          • Becky says:

Anon – according to his docket his attorney filed a post sentence motion on 5-19-17 and Judge Reinaker denied it. So how can he file again????

          • Anon says:

Because a post-sentence motion relates to direct appeals…..they have nothing to do with the PCRA. Again, rights under the PCRA are separate and distinct, including the types of claims you make. For example, claims of ineffective assistance of counsel generally cannot be raised in a direct appeal because it would require trial counsel to either complain about their own conduct or withdraw before getting to advocate for their client in the appellate courts. Therefore, a PCRA petition is the first chance a defendant has to claim their attorney did something wrong.

          • huh? says:

So basically Anon, you are saying that anyone found guilty can do what Corll is doing and stay out of prison. Why in the world are our prisons overflowing?

Corll is playing the I’m afraid to go to prison because of all those mean prisoners card. He’ll end up doing house arrest or plain old probation. Or singing to the courts about corruption.

Thanks. Was a reason given, or was it just typical Amish ass kissing?

No, we may not get an update. First and foremost, we are quite possibly facing swarming cicadas. Secondly, nothing bad may be published that would have a detrimental effect on tourism (con center/Marriott $$$$).
