From numerous sources, this is what I was told about Fetterman’s suspension:
Fetterman was suspended after a verbal blowup at a meeting with Stedman on Wednesday, January 30th.  The meeting occurred after Fetterman’s attorney, Michael Hess of Burke and Hess, wrote a letter critical of Stedman to the Republican Committee of Lancaster County.
The letter called out Stedman for meddling in the district attorney race and actively supporting his Assistant District Attorney Karen Mansfield to replace him among other things.  Actively supporting a candidate for another office is a violation of the Code of Judicial Conduct, which applies to candidates for judge.
On the Saturday morning after Fetterman was suspended, the county commissioners had an emergency meeting and directed Stedman to reinstate Fetterman.  Stedman didn’t follow personnel policy when he suspended Fetterman.  The County was afraid of a lawsuit because Stedman suspended Fetterman for political reasons.
There are still multiple disturbing questions about ADA Karen Mansfield and they will be coming shortly. And Stedman needs to withdraw his name as a candidate for judge. What a horrendous mess and conduct by Stedman. Let us hear from the third candidate for district attorney – Heather Adams.

*    LNP finally has the story up that was reported on this site a week ago (click here for the LNP story)! Stedman did suspended Fetterman and the county got involved!
And there is this from the article:
The clash between two politically ambitious prosecutors offers a rare glimpse into the work environment in an office that is typically buttoned-up and image-conscious; it is the only county department, for example, that employs a full-time media specialist at taxpayer expense to handle press inquiries and control the flow of information from local law enforcement to the public.
Oh, this is rich. That person, of course, is Brett Hambright, LNP’s former court reporter who LNP now re-writes for all of their court “reporting” (see yesterday’s afternoon update on this site).
Hambright is a liar and that’s why Stedman hired him!

I wrote about this on February 7th (click here and there is a link to the full appeal by the DA). What is the DA trying to hide? Where is the money and where is it going?
Please check back later today.

  1. you again? says:

Who gave this poor prosecutor, Larson an expensive watch? A bribe?

  2. Disheartened says:

The sad thing is that Stedman will be nominated for judge by the Republican Party and everyone else in the party will be bullied to not run against him. Our Democrats don’t even bother with a candidate. Stedman WILL be our next judge.

  3. Anonymous says:

Stedmman knew the suspension wouldn’t hold. He is fine with that, I’m sure. The damage has been done and he accomplished his goal: Defamation, slander and libel, with complete immunity. I hope Fetterman – the candidate – counters it with a position statement on what CHANGES he will make in the D-A’s office when he is elected. Lancaster needs a District Attorney like Larry Krasner in Philly – no more of the garbage that goes on here. PA – as a whole – is in desperate need of judicial reform, instead of the Meek Mill criminal mill mentality that’s been going on for years.

  4. SCARED says:

When Judge Jayne Duncan resigned, President Judge Reinaker publicly trashed her in LNP, which is, also, a violation of the Code of Conduct for Judges.

Reinaker claimed he did not know why she resigned (she did not, publicly, give a reason), but she resigned because of corruption and collusion between certain police departments and the D-A’s office. He knew that, and trashed her to give Stedman a boost in his quest for the bench.

A vote for Stedman or Mansfield is a vote for MORE corruption in Lancaster County.

  5. huh? says:

But but these upstanding prosecutors would NEVER cut corners when prosecuting someone. They live such transparent and moral lives that it would never cross their minds to gather evidence illegally or argue against a witness for the defense from testifying.

I’ve worked with people who were as devious and dishonest in their work life as they were in their personal lives. It’s who they are at the core.

  6. huh? says:

Another thing. I wonder if Fetterman’s attorney spoke to the newspaper about Stedman’s electioneering? The paper says nothing about that. Instead they press the sexual harassment angle.

    • Becky says:

      The article states:

Both Fetterman, who returned to work Feb. 4, and his attorney, Michael D. Hess, declined to comment for this story.

So I assume he did not. I contacted the attorney about a week ago through the firm’s website asking if he had any comment on my story and he did not respond.,

  7. Jay says:

All I will say is that Brett Hambright better get his Resume in order because when another Crooked D.A is elected into office he will be Shown the Door from the Goon Squad of the county detectives and the deputy sheriff’s office wanna-be’s.

  8. Satchell says:

Steadman has been in charge of this office and is directly responsible for his employees. Fetterman is a man with no moral compass who believes it right to cheat on a pregnant wife. Larsen cheats on his wife with Ponessa and accepts expensive gifts for favors. Where did you get that Breitling watch Mr. Larsen? Brett Hambright is nothing but a flunky controlled by LNP to put a positive spin in everything and ensure LNP can control all future elections. Scott Martin who is good friends with the DA cheated on his wife with a married woman and lied about it to everyone. They are a terrible representation of this county and they all need to go back under whatever rock they crawled out from under.

  9. Anon says:

Buttoned up? Maybe. But that office is certainly not zipped up…

  10. huh? says:

Family feud finally surfaces on the LNP. Buttoned up office? Hah.
