*** BREAKING NEWS ***
CIVIL RIGHTS LAWSUIT
Ronald Brian Gray filed a lawsuit in federal court on October 24th against the Lancaster City Police Department and Officers Jake Bingham and Timothy Sinnott for violation of his civil rights (click here).
The “Statement of Facts” from the lawsuit will be posted here tomorrow. These two officers were also involved in a controversial arrest in April of this year when four people were charged with “riot.”
Both officers were also named and pictured on this site when they were sworn in as officers questioning the racial makeup of the Lancaster City Police Department and what was being done to diversify it.

LOCALS OR TOURISTS?
It’s still too early in the process to offer a budget estimate, he [Randy Patterson, city director of economic development and neighborhood revitalization] told LNP. Besides city capital bond funds, money could come from the City Revitalization & Improvement Zone program and sponsorships, he said.
LNP finally went up with a story about Wednesday’s meeting on the future of Lancaster Square (click here).
It really is worth your time to watch the livestream of the meeting (click here). This will be a huge, extremely expensive project which, if completed as planned, will require numerous city employees to manage it on a daily basis.
There were excellent questions that were raised during the meeting that are not included in this article (along with the secret fountain donor)!
Is all of this intended to improve the lives of city residents or is this intended for visitors and tourists to the city?
Please check back later today.
