CAUCASIAN JURY

                          — NO BYLINE FOR KNAPP —

LNP reporter Tom Knapp should not have a byline on this story. He took it almost word for word, sentence by sentence from the DA’s press release by Brett Hambright (click here for the DA’s release).
What is missing from the DA’s press release (and thus Knapp’s story)? At least half of the story:
—  Darrall Fields is represented by Elizabeth Low of the Public Defender’s Office.
—  An absolutely reliable source told me that his jury was “Caucasian.” How is that possible?
—  The prosecution “Nolle Prossed” two of the charges before the trial began (see his docket below).

—  Contempt of court charges are highly unusual and the maximum sentence is six months. Fields received three months. What exactly did he say to the judge? We are adults and we can handle it and we should know.

There will be much more tomorrow.

NOT THE FACES I SEE!

Did you see this photo of LNP employees in Sunday’s special section, “Faces of Lancaster County?”

Oh..Same mental health court judge who thought it was a good idea to force a woman back with the ex who shot her at pt blank range with a rifle while she was sleeping – because he had been “cured” of his ptsd.

    Who was judge?

I think I may have counted half a dozen that are obviously ‘quota hires’, and that never interact with the public face to face.

A true representation of our community……….NOT!!

    Wow! Talk about diversity!

This comment came in under the post below and I’m also moving it here:

The LNP staff photo is one giant white bread sandwich! It reminds me of a hobby of mine–watching reruns of the old Perry Mason TV shows. The drama is okay, but not a person of color appears in most episodes. Is LNP stuck in some 1950’s time warp?
