  • AFTERNOON UPDATE ** – * MARRIOTT EXPANSION APPROVED

    NOT A SINGLE PENNY!

Are we really certain that the Marriott expansion was approved??? After all, PSP lapdog Dan Nephin evidently wasn’t there; since there is NOTHING in todays LNP (paper or online) about this.
City council is a disgrace, LNP is an even bigger disgrace, and PSP is the biggest disgrace in Lancaster County history!!
    This comment in today.
Well, I trust (keeping my fingers crossed) that WGAL could get this simple fact correct and yes, Nephin and LNP are missing in action (could it be their huge, unethical conflict of interest)! The bottom line is that these two multi-million dollar companies (LNP and High) do not get a single penny more in taxpayers’ dollars to pay for this charade.
I’m certain their next step is to apply for CRIZ money. Below are the members of the CRIZ authority and I will update this list shortly with contact information.
Thomas Baldrige and Daniel Betancourt have to recuse themselves from anything whatsoever to do with this issue as stated in the by-laws because both of their wives are employed by LNP. And LNP is automatically excluded from getting CRIZ money by the Pennsylvania Code because of their lack of diversity (blatant racism) in their hiring practices and staff.
         This is an absolute disgrace!

    * On ABC-27’s Facebook page, the comments were savage under the “Puffer” article!

    puffers

    & WHAT IS DA
    STEDMAN PUFFING?

WGAL-TV, “12-Story, 105-room expansion approved for Lancaster’s Marriott,” (click here).

    Tom Knapp (click here).

Stedman11      What has DA Craig Stedman been puffing? Is this a joke?
No, it’s a distraction to take your mind away from all the unsolved murders, shootings, robberies and other crimes going on in Lancaster. And, yes, it is a sad joke! Stedman and the police are experts at this kind of ridiculous diversion!
    Please check back later today.

    1. Of course, the Marriott expansion was approved. They obey what they are told to do. Puffer !! What a bizarre term for letting your car run unattended. If you do this you are an idiot and deserve to have your car stolen, no reimbursement by an insurance company and prosecuted. The quality of life here in Lancaster outside the downtown area keeps sinking to unfathomable depths. Did Lancaster buy the bulova building for their damn parking garage???? If not they should and quit harrassing residents regarding parking garages in ridiculous locations.

    2. When I read the headline, the first thing that came to mind was, why are they talking about spray paint and cars? Then I realized that it was “puffer” and not “huffer.”

Well, we know what the city council was huffing last night. And the LHPT just walks away…

    4. I had forgotten that in 2009 Dale High purchased those buildings. So, now does the city have to buy them? And does High make a profit? What money will pay for them? Or do the partners buy him out?

This has been on the plans since 2009 or the Mennonite Mafia wouldn’t have bought them. And the idea that mayor bow tie has appointed himself the person who signs off on all demolition is a fucking joke.

Lancastrians could have thwarted this but honestly I don’t think that there is one savvy person in the whole county. And that’s what PSP banks on every single time.

    5. There are LOTS of savvy people in Lancaster County…..we’re just not part of the Power Elite, and never will be.
Common taxpayers have more common sense than our elected officials; who, once elected; forget who elected them, and cow-tow to the LNPs’ and PSPs’ of our area.
We end up with elected officials who are afraid to confront the Power Elite out of fear of their own individual political future, which has been well-documented by LNP’s historical actions on anyone who challenges them.
Honest, tax-paying Lancaster County residents of integrity have no real chance against the political machine of the Power Elite led by soul-less LNP/PSP.

    6. Yes, but in this soft pretzel rebublic, whatever PSLNP wants, the PSLNP gets.

    7. Yes you do. Penn Live now covers Lancaster. Lancaster is considered a third class city and that means that any citizen can mount a petition for a referendum on the ballot that forbids any tax payer money or reduced taxes unless citizens vote and approve it. If I still lived there, I have nothing to lose and would mount a campaign to do just those hings.
