* Running behind. Full details tomorrow.

LANCASTER – Akeem Washington was sentenced to 25-1/2 to 60 years in prison this morning by Judge David Ashworth. He received 8-1/2 to 20 years each on three counts of criminal solicitation to commit homicide, totaling the 25-1/2 to 60 year total. Click here for, “Lancaster man convicted for plan to kill city police officers,” and check back later today.

LNP has another missing tape (see immediately below)! Imagine that! I know what was not on it. There was not one single “hard” question about unsolved shootings and murders. There was not one question about the lawsuits against the police. There was not one question about the “Safety Coalition” cameras and why the public never sees images from them. And there was nothing about the armed robbery at the AutoZone last Saturday.
It was a love fest between LNP, Mayor Gray and Chief Sadler and it was disgusting and pathetic! Your job, LNP, is to hold public officials accountable and protect the public. And you failed miserably – again!
Please check back later today.

    Think its Money.

A retrograde step in my opinion.

Be interesting to see the convict rate for street crime in the coming year.

Sorry off topic but something Where I was brought up 60 years ago and their cameras to day.

Well it’s the eve of the demise of a much valued service. Rhyl, Prestatyn and Rhuddlan will have their CCTV system placed into static mode. The residents of these towns need to press their local town councillors and try and get this decision overturned. The only winners out of this are the local and not so local criminal fraternity. Crime WILL go up. The fear of crime will escalate,. Thanks to the loyal men and women who have served us really well in the CCTV room and who have all been made redundant. I for one will miss the valuable link we had in combating crime and the fear of crime. Good luuck to you all in the future. Concerned local
