I don’t know your views on the legalization of marijuana but the pros far outweight the cons. For starters the tax revenue would definetely be helpful. Locking millions of nonviolent offenders up for something physically and mentally less harmful than alcohol is a bad idea. Alcohol is far more difficult for minors to obtain than alcohol because of it’s legality. Bars and state stores require ID unlike drug dealers. Marijuana dispenseries would require the same identification because harsh penalties would be set against them. Marijuana has been scientifically proven to be non addictive. There has never been a case of overdose of marijuana. Scientists stated that a person would have to smoke thousands of pounds to die. The only argument left against it’s legalization is the tired old gateway drug theory. By that rationale many legal products can be considered gateway drugs and not just the obvious alcohol and cigarettes. Anything that stimulates or alters the body. Products such as coffee, soda, iced tea, chocolate bars, energy drinks, ny quil, etc. I do not even use marijuana and I feel this way. Never seen somebody use and become violent. People are not out robbing and stealing to fuel their marijuana addiction. When it comes to facts, I think I’ll take scientists word on it since they are far more educated and involved on the topic than your average Joe Slob who is against it because of mythes and rumors passed down from generation.

Sorry about the typo. I meant alcohol is far difficult to obtain than marijuana by minors.
