But the obituary didn’t run Sunday — or Monday or Tuesday. Gundel finally submitted it Wednesday, Brooks said, but it was rife with errors. A family friend finally submitted an alternate obituary and paid for it to appear

My father died in the first week of January. I have something to say about obituaries and the Lancaster Newspapers. (Thank you for the kind comments I posted and the ones you asked me not to – yes, it was and is complex).

  So sorry for your loss. Knowing your history, that must have been a really difficult and confusing time. Very sorry you had to go through it.
