SNOWED AGAIN – “PACKAGING MATERIALS!”
Posted on January 25th, 2013 16 commentsNO DRUGS WERE FOUND!
It would only be a drug raid if they actually found drugs…
Posted on a Facebook page.
Police did not find illegal drugs, Umstead [Lt. Todd Umstead] said.
Today’s LNP article, “City raid nets drug paraphernalia, $5,000, but no drugs,” (click here).
The Lancaster City Police announced it on their Facebook page early this morning along with the above pictures (click here):
LCPD Officers serving search warrants in 500 blk Pershing. Happening NOW.
According to the LNP article referenced above:
About 35 people helped serve the warrants Friday, including city police, county drug task force detectives, representatives of the district attorney’s office, and the SERT teams.
Two armored BearCat vehicles were stationed on the block.
What did they find? According to the police Facebook page the following two people were arrested:Tywanna C. BROWN B/F/33, 544 Pershing Ave. Charged with Possession of Drug Paraphernalia (packaging materials commonly associated with the packaging of cocaine) subsequent to search warrant served at 8:00 am 1/25/13.
Jesus MEDINA-NORIEGA Jr. H/M/37, 526 Pershing Ave. Lancaster. Charged with Possession of Drug Paraphernalia (packaging materials commonly associated with the packaging of marijuana) subsequent to search warrant served at 8:00 am 1/25/13. Police also seized appx. $5,000.00 cash and assorted electronics equipment from this residence.
Good luck with that, Lancaster Police! I hope they both get good lawyers! OMG! Can you even begin to calculate the money they spent/lost on this operation? OMG!
Have a great Friday and have a drink with a toast to an investigation into the incompetent, ridiculous and money wasting Lancaster Police. OMG!16 responses to “SNOWED AGAIN – “PACKAGING MATERIALS!””

That operation cost a lot of money for a couple of misdemaenor possesion of drug paraphenalia charges. I feel real much more comfortable now that those baggies are now off the streets.

I’ve been thinking about this, kmb, not really long but it strikes me that the police are either totally crazy or somebody tipped somebody off. Thoughts?
-
Someone churches…they were pissed off they didn’t get there drugs.lcp are useless, they can’t find drugs or murderers.
-
churches?????

I think they just have a really good hiding place or they are very lucky to sell out and not resupply themselves as they were raided. 5,000 dollars is a decent amount of money but that isn’t a big enough dealer to be able to be informed of police raids
-
I think the War on Drugs is the absolute biggest waste of money and time in the history of the United States. They wasted a lot money for nothing on this case. They even bought armored trucks into this. Lets assume the police would’ve made a big bust on those two. The very next day somebody new would be selling to the very same drug addicts.

Oh…lol…i ment snitches…lol stupid phone spelled it for me…
-
Now it makes sense!
-
The police had a dog and I assume it was a “drug sniffing dog.” If they hid it they did an unbelievably good job! And $5,000 is not that much money and the police have to connect it to drug sales to get a conviction. I don’t think it’s likely.
-
It’s not illegal to have money in one’s home. And if they had drug sniffing dogs, they certainly would have detected traces of drugs on the money. They didn’t.
So… they found some plastic baggies.
Sorry but this sounds like my kitchen. Should I snitch on myself?

PS – I’ve always wondered what happened to the guys who were arrested and held on 100K bail for stealing cardboard… while they let that Amish man who was a pedophile go back to the residence where he molested the children. Twice.

Yeah, but in order to obtain search warrants in the first place, police had to have surveillance on the residence. I’m very sure they also sent in undercover cops to purchase drugs themselves. If they did not have a hiding spot outside the home whether in the backyard or alley next to their home or another home on the street, where drug sniffing dogs were not searching to begin with, then they are just very lucky. This is Lancaster county and these two are smart they will get their lawyers from Philadelphia or Harrisburg. The local old boy network looks out for itself.
-
You’re right – they had to present at least some “evidence” to a judge to get search warrants (I wonder if LNP will get them and publish them) but it looks like all that work went down the toilet!
-
Although flushing large quantities of marijuana really doesn’t work well I wouldn’t think…

They can make up any and all kinds of crap for the affidavit of probable cause and get a DJ to sign the search warrant. I’d be willing to bet that no search warrant was ever denied by a DJ. In fact, I understand they don’t even have to appear in person to get it signed. They just FAX it over and…voila…it’s done.
Look….these cops like to play GI Joe. The county and city officials buy them these ridiculous toys so that Lancaster county residents can be raided/assaulted by a paramilitary bunch of nut jobs at any time.
Guaranteed most of the officers on that raid team were on overtime. What they recovered probably doesn’t even cover the cost of the fuel to get all those vehicles there and back.
And, at best (for the police), those arrested will get a slap on the wrist. Most likely, the charges will be dismissed.
