  • AN ABSOLUTE DISGRACE!

    A SLAP IN THE FACE
    TO EVERY CRIME VICTIM!

This morning I quoted today’s New Era editorial that states this:
Lancaster County residents are strong supporters of law-and-order.
This is such hypocrisy by the Lancaster Newspapers that I don’t know where to begin.  They don’t cover the unsolved murders.  They don’t cover the unsolved crimes. They never hold the police accountable.  And yet, according to Crime Stoppers, the Lancaster Newspapers “sponsor them.”
And before I get to my point – let me add that I don’t like organizations that don’t list their board of directors and give no definitive information whatsoever on who runs them or who is answering the phones.
And the subject of this week’s Crime Stoppers reward: Mack the cat.  No, I’m not kidding.  A cat.  This is an absolute slap in the face to all the victims of crime, their families and friends and the community at large.
The flyer is below – and if you really want to read it you can go here to Crime Stoppers and see the large version.
         This is unimaginable!

    1. This comment came in under this morning’s post (thank you Rednek) and I’m also moving it here. I meant to come back to the topic this afternoon but was so shocked by the cat that it took precedence. But what a wonderful MLK day! Obama gave an incredible speech!

In regards to Martin Luther King Jr day….I was blessed to be able to attend the 25th annual Crispus Attucks breakfast this morning held at the Lancaster County Convention Center. Guess which high profile Lancaster company was NOT a sponsor…LNP!!! Ernie was there though!!

By the way, the breakfast menu consisted of a child-size portion of runny quiche, 2 small finger sausages which were not cooked to completion, and a couple pieces of diced potato which were mushy. If this is the quality of food….FORGET IT!! Thankfully I had stopped at Turkey Hill and purchased a breakfast sandwich before going.

The speakers were FANTASTIC and very INSPIRATIONAL!!
