THE WORLD’S GREATEST CON?
Posted on October 12th, 2012 4 commentsCOLD WATER
IN HIS FACE?“They should go talk to Wells Fargo, if that’s their position, and maybe they’ll get some cold water splashed in their faces,” he [Mayor Gray] said.
Mayor Gray quoted in the LNP article from October 8th, “Lancaster County hotel owners oppose tax hike,” (click here).
It hit me this afternoon like a lightning bolt! They built a convention center in downtown Lancaster! No, they really did!
And I’ve been chuckling to myself ever since! I’m sorry, I can’t help it! Whose stupid idea was this, anyway? Oh, that’s right! Well, actually Mayor Gray says it was his wife who liked the idea!
And don’t you love Gray’s tough talk? His police are out of control and can’t solve any crimes – but he doesn’t talk tough about that. Oh, no! Everything’s just peachy!
I think we should have Mayor Gray stand in front of the con center and we’ll all throw cold water in his face! Are you with me? A convention center in Lancaster? Heads should roll!
Have a great Friday and please check back tomorrow.4 responses to “THE WORLD’S GREATEST CON?”

It shouldn’t be the responsibility of all local hotels to pay for this ridiculous idea!!! Especially since this hurts their businesses to begin with. To answer your question, YES I would love to throw water in Mayor Richard “The PSP lapdog” Gray’s face!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Good to have you in, kmb! We’ll have to plan a date, a ruse to get him there, figure out how to get water to the site without being obvious and whether or not to color it, notify LNP of a photo op so we can get their reporter too (ooops!), plan a getaway stratedgy and well…. there’s a whole lot of planning to be done. The one thing we don’t have to worry about is the Lancaster Police catching us!

Whatever anyone might say about Rick Gray, he is in fact a VERY smart man. He HAD to know that this project was a bad deal for taxpayers. What could possibly coerce a normally intelligent individual to strongly support spending taxpayer dollars in a way that makes so little sense?
Of course, had Ted Darcus done his job as chairman of the LCCCA board, these iron-clad “deals” which so badly take advantage of taxpayers would never have been approved. But with former board members like Joe Morales who publicly said that he didn’t need to read the voluminous documents because he trusted Stevens & Lee, Darcus was able to railroad through the greatest con job in Lancaster County history.

I have wondered that about Rick Gray for years. And he talks about the quality of life and his police force can’t solve the brutal murder of an 83-year-old woman in her home and he doesn’t care? I don’t have a clue what is going on with this man!
