TELL IT TO THE JUDGE!

Becky,
I was disturbed to see when I Yahoo searched my business, [name deleted], and the attached link shows up under my business internet link. WHAT WAS SHOWN 5 – 7 years ago wasn’t true then, other than not having a website at that exact point in time, and isn’t true now. Please delete this content immediately as it is untrue and is hurting my business.
Thank you for your prompt action on this important matter. Please let me know when you have taken the steps to delete this and other negative information so that I don’t have to involve my attorney.
Regards,
[name]This email in today complete with the name of his business, the address, the phone number and a link to his website. He also attached this from a cached, archived page on this site from September of 2006:
Mr. [name] is self-employed and the only “employee“ of [business name]. He does not have a website. He does not “google.” According to him, he only…:
I have rarely read something this foolish. I don’t “Yahoo,” sir, but I do “Google!” Click here for the first page of a “Google” search for “what is the statute of limitations on libel/slander in Pa?” You have one year and that includes the internet and the one year begins ticking down from the date the item was first posted. You are talking six years ago. Please, by all means get an attorney!
I don’t know what wasn’t true – I spoke to you on the phone – but you should have brought it to my attention six years ago and I would have corrected it, if, in fact, there was an error. Or, if you think I can update every single story on this site for the past nine years to bring the information “current,” you have quite simply lost your mind.
And I certainly hope you have gone to the Lancaster Newspapers and asked that they amend or take down their stories from six years ago which are far more “damaging,“ albeit legitimately so. One article says this:
County officials are concerned [name] resume does not list some information, including the dates associated with his work history and education.
You will notice I have been nice enough to delete your name and your business name so you don’t look so totally foolish. But let me be extremely clear: if I hear one more word from you, I will print your name and your business name every single day for a month and state that you sent me the above threatening and ridiculous email.
It’s true, and therefore it’s not libel, slander or defamation and let me tell you – if people “Google” or “Yahoo” your name or business name after that it will come up multiple times on every search engine on the internet.
So you decide what you want to do! I hope you don’t consult with your clients on legal issues!
I had planned to get back to regular news this afternoon, but this came in and I am shocked and angry. People like to throw it at me all the time – “You’ll be sued!” I am extremely careful and do my absolute best to be truthful and factual on this site and in almost every case when they say “You’ll be sued,” it is absolute nonsense.
I was called out in a comment to this site today for my headline this morning, which I thought about very carefully before posting, “A CROOKED JUDGE!” I apprciate the comment, but I’m standing by the headline. Period.
There will be more on this at a later date along with my social media rant, which to some degree, involves the same topics.5 responses to “TELL IT TO THE JUDGE!”

Or he/she could just contact Yahoo/Google/whatever to have it removed. They’ll do it for free.
-
Why would they remove a valid link? I’ve never heard of such a thing! Are you sure, FWIW? I could get some links removed about me!

Reinaker worked for Ernie Preate, for god’s sake. That’s Ernie “I went to federal prison”. Reinaker makes a point, it seems, of handing down VERY harsh sentences. There has to be way more to this story. Who is this kid’s family friendly with?
-
If they were fraudulently put there, yes. That’s what he seems to be implying.
-
Unfortunately 99.99% of the time Yahoo, Google and other search engines will NOT remove links or references.
