     THEY DIDN’T KNOW!

This response to an email I sent today to John E. Graupera, a current member of City Council and pictured above:

    Hello Ms. Holzinger:
Thank you for your information on Cheif Sadler.
The Chief was appointed by the Mayor before I took office in January of this year. I was not aware of the alleged charges and will make inquiries on the issue with city hall staff and administration.

This response in yesterday from Kendra Saunders, who was on City Council when they approved Sadler but no longer is (she is also pictured above):

    Becky,
I was unaware of Chief Sadler’s alleged abuse. However, I am no longer serving on City Council. Check the city website for a more current list of city council members.

Thank you both for your responses. It’s good to see that John Graupera is going to make inquires! This is a serous situation and it is simply untenable!
I will publish a complete list tomorrow of the former and current members of City Council whom I emailed yesterday and today regarding Chief Sadler’s past.
Mayor Gray, you have a whole lot of questions to answer! A whole lot! How much lower can this Mayor go?

    RESIGN, CHIEF!

In the ultimate irony, WGAL-TV has a video of the Chief up under this story today, “Lancaster police chief talks about stabbing case,” (click here).
        Chief Sadler says this:
“People they’ll say, ‘What was the argument over?’ Honestly what does it matter? Something like this shouldn’t happen but yet it does.”
I bet your ex-wife, Rosa Torres-Sadler, will have a lot to say about that, Chief Sadler! You need to resign – now!

    1. Becky, my heart is so sad….I was praying that they could not ignore this….Thank you so much.

      Much respect to you always,

    2. The WGAL reporter knows! They all know! How can they interview this man like nothing has happened? I don’t understand this!

    3. Do they think that by ignoring the truth, I will go away. Even in my death, they will have no choice but…To Listen to the cries of many…Listen to those who beg for help….

    4. I dont want to paint anyone with too wide of a brush but City Council has proven itself to be stupid and oblivious long before they rubber-stamped a wife beater as their police chief. After their actions, or inactions you might say, and total lack of questioning on the CC project, I am not surprised one bit they they allowed this guy to pass the vetting process. Republicans and Democrats alike, the blind being led by the dumb and followed by the stupid. On the other hand, I guess would expect the Mayor to be a little smarter than City Council so therefore what we have makes sense.

    5. Outstanding comment “Talking”!!!

    6. Ms.Torres Sadler I am so glad that your words have been heard about your suffering at the hands of not only a police officer at the time but now a chief totally disgusting.. I am not sure I believe the story no one knew. I mean when you hire someone don’t you do a background check? I really believe as a survivor of Domestic Violence that the Police Department knew and tried to shove it under the rug but as they say no matter what LIE you tell the TRUTH will always come out I hope this so called Chief resigns or his job is taken away and measures are taken to make sure this Department hires those who serve and protect..

    7. Becky,

This is great stuff. You are going to take down a police chief and a mayor too. Can you imagine that the mayor didn’t inform the council of Sadler’s major problem? Outrageous.

    8. Dear Ms. Taylor, Thank you for all your support. I cannot begin to tell you how much your words mean to me and so many others. Please call me Rosa….Be blessed always my Warrior/Sister!

    9. Hold the phone here, people. If this abuse was never documented with criminal charges, how on earth is a background check going to come up with clear evidence that Sadler is a domestic abuser and therefore should not be a LEO or chief? Should a background check get into rumors, gossip, and grudges held by former partners? Suppose employment decisions were made about you on nothing more concrete than someone’s unsubstantiated charges about you? If everything about your credentials, references, and employment history qualified you for a job, should one person’s accusations with no clear proof be able to derail that?

    10. That’s nonsense, hershecomes! I’ll detail it for you later. Trying to publish this am!
