    END DOMESTIC VIOLENCE!

This was a horrible mistake because with that the next thing I remember was that Mark came from the living room into the dining room and hit me so hard across the face that I saw a flash of light in front of my eyes. Dear God, I knew something terrible had just happened to my eye.
Many times during the abuse, I would say to Mark, “One day you are going to hit me and you are going to cause me severe damage and it will not be reversible.”
We started struggling and he had me in the corner of the kitchen with his hands around my throat. I was trying to fight him with every ounce of my being. I knew right then and there Mark wanted to kill me and I felt it. Poor Elizabeth, she ran down the stairs and into the kitchen and jumped on her father’s side pulling at his arm so he would let me go.
Every time Mark would hit me, he would say, “If you report this to the Police, I am going to lose my job and get locked up. What will happen to you and the kids?”

From Rosa Torres-Sadler’s book, “Abuse Hidden Behind the Badge,” (click here).
“Mark” is actually Lancaster Police Chief Keith Sadler and this is when he detached his ex-wife’s retina, damaging Rosa’s eyesight permanently.
Today is the ninth anniversary of this website. If someone told me nine years ago I would be writing multiple stories about the hidden domestic violence of the Lancaster Chief of Police, I would not have believed them. I have trouble believing it today. But it’s true, and Keith Sadler can’t hide it any longer.
    Please check back later today.

    2. Oh Becky, thank you for sharing this….Remembering this is so hard….My children and I are still affected but…I have move forward to help others…

    3. When will Miss Torres-Sadler hold an open forum in Lancaster City to tell her story? Maybe you can find a First Friday venue for her?

    4. I would be honored….Over a year ago I reached out to your director for the shelter for Domestic Violence Victims….Of course they were not interested in me speaking to their survivors and victims.
