    This was the response from District Attorney Craig Stedman received via email this Tuesday afternoon (please see “AN APPEAL TO DA CRAIG STEDMAN!” immediately below):

Ms. Holzinger:

Thank you for your email. As I indicated previously, the city police have jurisdiction over the case. We have a standing offer to assist any department which requests assistance in a homicide case. We offered to assist in this case and many others but we cannot assist and/or take over a case unless we are requested by the municipality with jurisdiction.

    I would like to thank DA Stedman for his timely and direct response.
    An email was sent today to Mayor Gray and all City Council members asking why the Lancaster Police have refused the DA’s offer of assistance to solve this horrific murder and remove a killer from the street. That and much more will come tomorrow.

THE DIRTY SECRET!

    Has anyone read Rosaura Torres-Sadler’s book “Abuse Hidden Behind The Badge”?
    This comment was posted today on Lancaster Online under the story, “Convicted former policeman faces additional sexual assault allegations.”
    This is simply unbelievable. The Lancaster Newspapers, who just this Monday announced changes to keep the citizens of Lancaster informed on the local news they need to know and to “investigate abuses of power or position,” are trying as hard as possible to keep the public in the dark about Police Chief Keith Sadler. They have yet to mention his ex-wife, Rosa Torres-Sadler’s book detailing his domestic violence, “Abuse Hidden Behind the Badge.”
    I learned this morning that they deleted a comment last week under an article about Mayor Gray and the convention center in which the poster referred to the Chief’s “dirty little secret” and asked why LNP has not covered it.
    The secret is not “little,” it’s huge and it’s the age of the internet, new Executive Editor Ernest Schreiber. What you are doing is unconscionable and will not only not “work,” it will add to your demise and that of the Lancaster Newspapers.

    “Why haven’t you gone to see the Bishop?”
