AN APPEAL TO DA CRAIG STEDMAN!Posted on September 20th, 2012 3 comments
The below email was sent to District Attorney Craig Stedman on Monday, September 17, 2012. His response will come this afternoon:
Subject: Re: May 16th Murder of Erma Kaylor and the Lancaster County Detectives
September 17, 2012
District Attorney Craig Stedman:
Yesterday, September 16, 2012, marked the four month anniversary of 83-year-old Erma Kaylor being brutally murdered in her home at 235 West Vine Street in Lancaster. The Lancaster Police Department has failed to make an arrest and there is a vicious killer on the loose who threatens the safety of everyone in Lancaster County daily.
In a press conference on August 29, 2012, regarding the murder of Douglas C. Herr in Drumore Township, you stated, “…they [the State Police] have kept their commitment to public safety in our communities in Pennsylvania and I am pleased to report that they have arrested three individuals who are responsible for the death of Mr. Herr.”
The Lancaster Police have failed to keep their commitment to the public safety by their failure to arrest the killer of Erma Kaylor among numerous other unsolved murders. It is time for your office to step in and at a minimum, assist the Lancaster Police in solving this murder. You maintain a force of detectives for this purpose and the time has come to utilize them to preserve the public’s safety in Lancaster County.
Will your office be stepping in to assist the Lancaster Police Department in apprehending the killer of Erma Kaylor?
Thank you and I look forward to your response.

You realize that are asking a County official, D.A. Craig Steadman, to practice common sense. I would not hold my breath!

In Lancaster County, District Attorney is nothing more than a stepping stone to a lifetime election as judge.
For example, Steadman’s predecessor Totaro heavily politicized the local D.A.’s office for his own political gain. Steadman has already needlessly ruined the life of at least one good person only to satisfy political influences.
I think I know who you’re talking about, Anonymous, and I would disagree if it’s the same person.
