Lancaster Mayor Rick Gray said the city still is reviewing the plan, but he said taking an increase in the room tax off the table is a mistake.
“We’ve had two studies done this year that said we should increase the tax,” Gray said. “If they both independently came to the same conclusion, maybe we need to recognize the experts know more than we do.”

Can we just kick this idiot out of office? Seriously! Remember when PKF Consulting did a study and said the convention center would fail? You didn’t listen to those experts, did you Dick?

Several investors have approached him “willing to spend millions of dollars” in the city to capitalize on the convention center crowd, according to the mayor.
Where are they now, Dick? Did they ever spend those millions? We do have a Subway Restaurant! Is that what you meant, Dick?

And could you do something about the absurd price of parking in the city, Dick? $.25 for 10 minutes? Are you kidding me? Do you think Lancaster is Paris?

I always thought Lancaster was such a pleasant place to live, horrible skeletons and bad memories. I wish the city the best.
