MORE UNSOLVED  CRIMES!

    Every day brings something more outrageous regarding the Lancaster Police Department and its Chief, Keith Sadler. It was “damage control” with “Police Trading Cards” posted on the police Facebook page today. I’m not kidding. The above “card” was posted at about 11:30 this morning along with a piece entitled, “COP CARDS ARE MAKING A COMEBACK!!!” which includes this:

    In the mid 1990′s police trading cards were very popular. Many Lancaster City Officers secured community or business sponsors and purchased trading cards that many children collected. Officers couldn’t go to an event or walk the street without a child asking, “Do you have a card?” Trading cards are excellent community relations tools that encourage children to approach and talk to police, engage community resources as sponsors for the cards, promote a sponsor and demonstrate community support.

    Why don’t you do your jobs? Then you might get some good community relations and support!
    This morning I was planning to run a story about three extremely serious crimes in the last few weeks that we have not heard one further word about since they happened and no arrests have been made. Why not? What do these police do?
    I’ll take a closer look at all three tomorrow and then they will be added under the “UNSOLVED MURDERS” and “UNSOLVED CRIMES” tabs above:
1. ——– 7-27-12 – Angel Olmeda-Rivera was stabbed in the 500 block of Manor Street at about 4:30 am and taken to the hospital in critical condition.
2. ——– 7-29-12 – A “suspicious death investigation” of a man found in his apartment at 46 N. Prince Street.
3. ——– 8-3-12 – An arson fire at 516 E. Chestnut Street where a baby had to be thrown from the second floor, a man is in critical condition, 29 people were left homeless and the building was destroyed.
    “Be a leader, not a follower,” Chief Sadler? You, sir, need to resign or be fired. This, on top of everything else, is sickening and disgusting.
