Still nothing on her murder right, and still nothing is being said, what’s up with that? It’s like they all forgot about this woman. They don’t know what she meant to people, What’s going on??????????? I know just like everything else in this city, NOTHING!!!!!!!!!!!!! Not one word on this woman in months.
Part of an email in last night from a friend and neighbor of Erma Kaylor. I deleted several names from the email to keep the writer’s identity private. Thank you so much for writing.
I am so sorry. This is the most disgraceful thing I have ever seen. The fact that the Mayor, the Police Chief and the Lancaster Newspapers have ignored and abandoned Erma Kaylor’s friends and neighbors is just shocking. There are no words for the disrespect they have shown for the life of this 83-year-old woman and the people who knew and loved her. There are simply no words.
I have met some of the finest people I will ever know in her neighborhood. The kind of people any city should be proud to have as residents. The kind of people all of us want as friends and neighbors.
Together, we will press for outside help to arrest her brutal killer and bring some peace, dignity and closure to Erma’s family, friends and neighbors. And when he’s in jail – those responsible for this terrible police work, for leaving the entire city in danger, for the lack of respect they have shown for the life of Erma Kaylor and the wonderful people who have been insulted and ignored and left in the dark – will no longer be receiving our money to protect and serve us.

I think the City of Lancaster police are worthless! I gave them tips of where a convicted thief who was stealing, driving illegally in a stolen car, smoking crack, and he bragged about crimes he committed in which I read in the newspaper a couple of days after he mention the crimes to me . Also gave them where he was staying..you ask did they go get him…no they didn’t! They told me to call Lancaster County Probation…you ask did they go get him …no they told me to call the City of Lancaster police. So now The Den on North Prince Street in Lancaster, Pa is selling that synthetic marijuana …I left a tip on the crimestoppers tip line cause last time I delt with the City police they did nothing. I know they are selling it cause I know someone close to me who was using it and told me they got it there and I am sick of this! The Mayor lives pretty close to The Den which is a adult book store or something .

Carol, so based off one incident where you gave police information where a convicted thief (who cares) was driving illegally in a stolen car (can one drive legally in a stolen car?), smoking crack (not illegal to smoke crack, only possess it) and bragged to you about committed crimes, the police are suppose to do to what? did the guy have warrants? were you going to testify about what he told you he did?
the police need evidence and probable cause before they make an arrest
