    Bummer … excused from jury duty because everyone with a number 272 and higher is not needed. I had a notebook and pen packed, ready to write down all the side conversations in the hallway and take notes on the fine Italian marble bathroom. Plus I was looking forward to meeting one (or maybe both) of the jury commissioners who have nothing to do and refuse to resign.

    As noted on Sunday on this site, one of those jury commissioners is Debbie Frantz, who is married to attorney Samuel Mecum. I will fax her today at the number listed on the county website for her explanation of why she continues to receive a salary and benefits for this non-job.

    This note to attorney Steven Breit: I will give you the opportunity to clarify your response to me or I will print it as received. It’s your call. When I contacted you through your website, I put “LIPNews.com” in the company line. There was no deception.

The Lancaster Newspapers list three – count them – three reporters on the police beat. Is that a joke?
