COME TOGETHER!
Posted on July 12th, 2012 1 commentTHE STORY CONTINUES BELOW

Tomorrow, from 1:00 to 7:00 pm, there will be a Community Day in honor of Brandon Lamar Seals, Sr., on the one year anniversary of his being shot and killed at age 22 on Stevens Avenue on July 13, 2011.
The event is being organized by his mother and step-father, Dorthea (Seals) Alexander and Lamont Alexander.
The day of fellowship, fun, and community awareness to help stop the violence is being held in Reservoir Park, located behind the County Prison.
At 7:00 pm there will be a silent march from the park to the site on Stevens Avenue where Seals was killed. There will be a silent vigil and speeches by several local pastors and ministers including Alexander, who is a minister at Bright Side Baptist Church and the Rev. Louis A. Butcher, Pastor of the Bright Side Baptist Church.
Please plan to attend. I spoke to his parents by phone and they are wonderful people. Let’s bring the community together for a day of fun and fellowship and work together to end the violence.
No one has been arrested for the killing of Brandon Lamar Seals, Sr. Click here for the one article at the time of his murder, “Lancaster man, 22, shot and killed in city.”

A follow-up to yesterday’s story, I sent this email to Attorney Steven Breit through his website on July 9th:Mr. Breit,
“There’s nobody in there but a goofy white guy,” Lewis reported back, his trial lawyer recalled this week.
Is this quote from the article by Brett Hambright, “6 teen killers have appealed life terms” accurate? And if so, why would you make a racially charged comment like that and hurt your former client?Thank you,
Becky HolzingerClick here to read the article in question and Mr. Breit’s response will come this afternoon.
One response to “COME TOGETHER!”

This note to “anonymouse” who sent a comment under a different story that begins with this:
Yes, this post is from a hopped IP address, sorry for that. I just can’t reveal who I am just yet; but soon, sweetie, I promise.
That’s nonsense. An IP address does not reveal who you are – but rather, might let me know if you’re some nut from Australia who happened to find my site and wants to have some “fun.” Comments from “hopped” IP addresses will not be posted. I doubt very much that I would be impressed by who you are.
