    “TOTALLY WRONG”

“Officer Nickel is a good detective but he got this case totally wrong.  He didn’t check his facts,” Edward Major’s defense attorney Jeffrey Conrad told the jury today in his closing in the murder trial of Heather Marie Nunn.

“…Nickel should have followed the gun.  The Lancaster City Police haven’t brought the right people to you.”

There will be a great deal more tomorrow including the gun, the gloves and the vomit.  First, second and third degree murder, and of course, acquittal, are on the line here for the four defendants.

    DON’T BUY THE CAR!

The Commonwealth’s entire case against four men is based solely on the word of Kevin Major, defendant David Jordan told the jury this morning in his closing statement.  He said their case, “Is a pretty painted car with nothing under the hood.”  He told the jury, “Don’t buy the car.”

Jordan, who is acting as his own defense council, gave the third closing statement of the morning before the court adjorned for lunch.

Michael Marinaro, the attorney for Hayward Stewart, went first followed by Christopher Lyden, the attorney for his brother, Michael Stewart.

Jeffrey Conrad, the attorney for Edward Major, the alleged shooter is scheduled to give his closing immediately following lunch,  The last closing will be given by the prosecution.

Jodi Wolff is in the courtroom again today for LIP News and there will be much more to follow.

    1. Lacking talent

Becky, is the Lancaster DA’S office so weak in terms of talent that they had to bring an AUSA in from Philadelphia to prosecute this case? Or did they realize it was such a dog of case that they pawned it off on the Feds?

    2. Seems to me that these ‘officers of the court’ are more interested in their political ambitions than in the responsibilities that come along with the job.
